Comment:

Dr. Daniel is a great professor who makes sure all students leave his class having learned something. He tries hard to help all the students and wants to make sure all the students are enjoying the class. Dr. Daniel may seem unclear at some points during the lectures but he will take time to clarify everything if you ask questions.

Comment:

Prof. Daniel is my favorite professor at SJU. I had him for Learning Across Cultures (first year seminar) and it was so interesting and he literally didn't care about grades. All he wanted was for us to actually learn from his class and use the knowledge in the real world. Highly recommend him. Goofy professor but that's what make him great.

He's kind of nuts but that's because there's so much her wants to say and not enough time. He's so sweet and cares that you learn. He has a different approach to teaching that is student oriented, he's a little unorganized but he doesn't lecture he wants you to speak

Comment:

Dr. Daniel is truly one of the best professors at SJU. He is hands down my favorite professor. He truly cares, gives great feedback, and keeps class relevant to society today. It's more than just a french class to Dr. Daniel and I would be shocked if someone took this class not taking something great away from it.

He really is a nice guy, however his class was very unorganized. We read about 5 books, and there was little connection between them. Besides that, we barely took any tests or quizzes, and i hardly took any notes. He really wants everyone to participate greatly, but I was not the most talkative student and I still wound up with an A-. Goofy Prof.

Ok so he means well but his class was rly disappointing for me. He rambled off in French most of the time, too fast for me to understand. He assigned too much & had to cancel things bc we didn't have time. We didn't get papers back for weeks on end. He showed up 15 minutes late every class, without fail. Left the class feeling I hadn't improved all

A great, nice, helpful guy. He understands that people have different skills and weaknesses. He will be totally understanding and totally wants to help people succeed. Quizzes every two or three weeks, but nothing too bad. I loved taking his class, and so will you. I cannot recommend him any higher.

I had him both semesters for Conversation and Composition. He makes French an interesting course and is willing to help you understand. Try to talk to him in French and he'll help you figure out how to say it. He really likes to see you put an effort into the class. He's a bit unorganized at times, but is always very apologetic. GREAT CLASS

Is a very nice guy who offers help whenever needed. I was an awful french student in HS but in his class I got a B+ and an A-. He cares a lot about his students, if you try hard he will notice. He really makes french class enjoyable with his enthusiasm and acting. One of the best teachers I've had at SJU

Dr. Daniel loves what he does and shows it in class. He is passionate about teaching french and will go out of his way to help students. His class is interesting as he "acts" out verbs and enthusiastically interacts in the class. He is a great professor that i would recommend to anyone studying French!

Great teacher who really cares about his students. He always makes sure that everyone is clear about what he's teaching and the handouts that he provides are really helpful. He doesn't ask a lot, just that you try your best and ask questions if you are unclear. I had expected a mediocre grade from this class, but he was generous with my final grade

His lack of organization might be annoying, but he's a really nice guy. Reading is assigned, but you can get by without doing it. Essays and such aren't hard and he's an easy grader. Definately would like you to participate, but won't penalize you if you don't. Slows the class down if he sees that people are having trouble understanding.

a gentle soul. he doesn't ask for much in class, just that you try to talk to him(in french). he's very scatterbrained, but a wonderful person. he tries to incorporate different aspects of french culture in class through movies, newspapers, and other literature. sometimes he brings his dog, chester, to his office during interviews.
