Very monotone, like to go off topic, but the tests were straight out of the PPT... one of the easiest classes ever. Study the PPT and make a solid effort on the two 'mini papers' and you will make an easy A.

This is one of the single worst professors I've ever had. No class order, disparages students, does not listen. Might know the content, but cannot or will not teach it. Some say he's easy, but I was being treated like a moron. He's given up on students and hasn't kept up with student interest or educational styles.

I really enjoyed this class! Dr. Johnston does a lot of weird stuff, if you want to know what they are take his class! The class is really easy in my opinion! He reminds me so much of Lewis Black in the movie Accepted! Do the out of class assignments, even the stupid people in my class got a good grade! I got an A out of the class! IT'S EASY!!!

WOW! This teacher is extremely liberal! I am conservative. If you are offended you are in for a tongue biting ride! However, this was the easiest class I have ever taken. Gives a study Guide which is almost Identical to the final and midterm. Attendance is mandatory. If you don't get an easy A you are a serious slacker! He also rambles a lot.

Just got finished with his Summer 2oo9 course. I love him for the simple fact that he used to be a hippie. Haha. I loved when he brought up the 60s/70s. Other than that, he can be a rambler. Study guides are literally word-for-word. You'll pass this class!

If you go to class everyday, he gives you little hints as to what will be on the test. He's very funny but very liberal. He's a lil' hippie. Anyways, he shows the test and the answers but you have to go to class to see them. Tests are just like the study guides. Mostly vocab. Very easy.

Dr. Johnston's class is boring but he emails study guides ahead of time. Make sure you show up for his class because he does count attendance as participation grade. Just study the study guide and you will be fine!

I took Dr.Johnston for Methods I and II and for Marxist Sociology. He is a really nice guy and will do his best to help you. You have to do the work and do your part. He may come across as mean, but he is anything but mean, but he is blunt and will tell it like it is.

*Summer '06* Dr. Johnston is an excellent professor although I must admit his class was rather long and boring. Just two 75 question multiple choice tests given. Study guides for the tests are given at the beginning of the semester. All questions come from the study guide. If you can deal with his style of teaching it is an easy "A".

Yes he can ramble and things can get boring but man will that guy go out of his way to help students. I was taking his course and got a job offer after mid-term. I took the job and could'nt make his class. I wrote the class of but he called me after exams to ask what happened to me and allowed me to make everything up. Great Guy!!
