Comment:

Dr. Wenta really cares about his students and is always accessible for extra help. His quizzes and tests are always something that is covered during class and the online homework is given a curve. Ask for help on homework and classwork and he will help you! He may go fast during class but ask questions. Also, he is funny and easy to talk to.

Comment:

Super sweet guy that cares about his students. He works through the problems and teaches you each step along the way. You have to show all your work on tests/quizzes but it's not a problem if you go to class. There are re-dos for tests and quizzes. Coming from someone that failed calc the first time, I couldn't recommend a better prof.

Comment:

Dr. Wenta genuinely cares for all of his students and wants them to succeed. He can get off topic at times and gets lost in his lectures, but he is a good teacher. If you read the material and do the math homework, then you should do well in the class. He has quizzes every week, but he does quiz rewrites and homework is based on participation.

Comment:

Dr. Wenta explains things very clearly and thoroughly to be sure you understand the material. He can go on tangents about his life, wife, inspirational quotes, etc. but they come from the goodness of his heart and can be very uplifting to hear. He is always available if you have questions and offers re-writes on quizzes. He makes precalc better!

Oh my goodness! i would take Bob for every math if i could! he is absolutely an amazing teacher and makes sure that you understand everything! you can meet him after class and he is here to help! he is the sweetest guy ever and hes also hilarious! quiz corrects are also given for every quiz! i love him! i highly recommend!!!

Dr. Wenta is an incredible professor. He does nothing but encourage students in the class. He does a lot of problems while going over the content to make sure students understand. He is always willing to stay after and answer any questions. Best math professor I have had in a while.

Not much of a math person but ended up with an A in this class thanks to Dr. Wenta. I could tell how much he cared and wanted me to learn/succeed in his class. Sometime he can be a little scattered brained but he makes calculus enjoyable and is always available to explain things if you didn't understand them the first time!

My favorite professor I have had at App thus far. This man loves math and WANTS you to learn it. He's one of the most caring, easy going, sweetest people I've ever met, if you give him the chance to be. Take advantage of his availability outside of class and you should absolutely succeed. Also lots of partial credit!

He is very scattered. It can be hard to follow his lectures a lot of the time. He is also verrrry knit picky when grading quizzes. But, if you take some time out of your day and look over the textbook, you should be fine. He makes the class a little challenging but I think that's just how calc 2 is.

I really enjoyed this class, but I also like math. Bob is very helpful if you go to his office hours, he is always willing to help and is very kind. He does go off on tangents sometimes during class but if you ask him to clarify an explanation for a problem, he will and won't treat you like you're stupid. Study for tests (hard), quizzes are easy.

Dr. Wenta is really good at lecturing and explaining Calc 2, although he tells bad jokes and gets on tangents. He gives lots of online homework (which can be skipped with "show solution"). One thing to note is that he's really picky on grading tests and quizzes; he takes off for small mistakes, and he tries to teach students to really prove answers

Very intelligent Professor. Not good at teaching info to class. Gets off on horrible tangents. Moves through Content VERY FAST. Doesn't clearly explain problems. Teaches easy Examples, puts Difficult ones on quizzes and Exams. Overall, shouldn't probably be teaching college Math Courses.

Probably the best professor I've ever had. He cares a lot about your well being and conveys the course material in a way that's super easy to understand. Lack of attendance won't make u fail the class. He's willing to work with you on your grade. If you really struggle with math don't take him thought cause he moves really fast.

Dr. Wenta is a very nice man. He is intelligent and always trying to learn his students. 5 Tests and 10 Quizzes were given, there was no extra credit. He doesnt allow students to understand the material before he goes on. He expects you to have read the lesson/know about 80% how to do the math before coming to class. 55 to 80 problems of HW/week.

Comment:

This professor was very nice. He cared about most of his students. Gave lots of homework, quizzes and tests. No extra credit. You get "Re-writes" on quizzes and most Tests, but there not really worth it. DO NOT TAKE IN the SUMMER! Summer is even worse to have him. Overall knows his stuff, a little weird. Likes to drink Tea and ask him about Tina...

Comment:

Dr. Wenta is a great professor. Math was never really my favorite class but this past semester with Wenta was fulfilling to say the least. He goes through material fast in the lecture but offers plenty of opportunities outside the classroom to help you learn the material. He will give you every opportunity you need to be successful.

Bob is absolutely hilarious. I don't know if he realizes it but his corny jokes and fidgeting are his most defining characteristics, and they set him apart from every professor I've ever had. Underneath, he's a caring and dedicated person who will help you in every way that he can. As long as you pay attention, you'll be fine with him in Calc 1.

Bob was the best professor I have ever had. He is so caring about each and every student and really wants you to succeed. I did really bad in calc in high school and wasn't looking forward to it but he made it so easy to understand and explains things so well. If you're behind on anything go to his office hours and he will help.

Bob is one of, if not the top, most favorite teachers I've ever had. I'm super bad at math, but he makes it really easy to understand. And on top of that, he makes dad jokes and says weird things that always brighten my day. He's very generous with partial credit, and he gives rewrites on pretty much everything. Love this guy!!
