his exams are nothing like the lectures or quizzes. He will ask you about stuff in the exams that wasnt even remotely close to being in the notes or on the quizzes, and on top of that he doesnt have the quizzes and exams available for preview after completely so you can see what you got right and got wrong.

Comment:
Do not take this class with this professor. The online course has zero reviews, exams are nothing like the quizzes, and they are extremely counter intuitive because they are made so you cant view all the questions and solve the ones you know, then go back to solve the others. You have to do each one individually and it wastes a ton of given time.

I have taken this class because it is one of my electives. I'm glad that I have taken it. It was hard but I learned a lot because Mr. Saludes is very knowledgeable and he can answer all our questions related to the topics. He is a funny guy and I enjoyed the class. He provided chapter notes which are really helpful in studying for the exams.

Professor Saludes is a wonderful professor and is fantastic at his job. On the first day of class he makes it very clear what his expectations are for the semester. If you follow what he says you will have no issues. However the only downside to his class is that the only grades are the 4 exams throughout the semester but there is optional homework

This professor is very knowledgeable on the material he just lacks the ability to be able to teach. He switches from English to Spanish. He can be outputting and rude. He makes smart remarks towards students without realizing that he is being disrespectful. He could be a great professor if he sticks to teaching the right way.

I took this class as a hybrid course over the summer. It was very difficult and I had to hire a tutor. He grades very hard and only gives one extra credit assignment. You will also have to take a lot of quizzes. I even tried asking for help when class ended and he was very harsh and cut me down in front of the other students. I don't recommend.

He is a 5-star teacher because you can really learn a lot. He makes every point clear and gives examples to show different ways to come up with solutions. It is useless to get an easy A but learned nothing, in that case, you are wasting your money. Think about why you come to school and you will take his class.

I took Physics 1&2 with Saludes. He truly knows the material he teaches you, is available to ask questions both during office hours and canvas, and will discuss homework if asked. The exams are of high and exacting difficulty. Saludes does not teach with enough examples to prepare you for exams. You are taught general concepts with no real numbers.

I wouldn't take the online version of this course due to it being simply reading the book and a poorly designed Canvas page. Your best bet is to be somewhat decent at conversions, lbs to kg and so forth, or it will be next to impossible to earn a passing grade. If attending class on campus he could be good a good teacher, but abrasive at times.

I have taken PHY 1025 and PHY 2048 with Professor Saludes. He is a great professor and explains the material very well. If he gives non-credit homework pop quizzes to work on over the weekend, I recommend you do it. If you are taking PHY 2048, I recommend that you take General Physics 1 before because there is a large gap between 1025 and 2048.

Saludes is the guy to take at HCC if you're serious about your engineering career. He sets you up for success in tough classes like statics and dynamics. Pay attention in class especially all the units conversions like VFR and MFR.

His tests are hard and if you dont study or try, you will no do well. If you get offended easily (or even moderately) you will not want to take his class; he will call you out & is very demeaning sometimes. His jokes and comments are borderline crude/funny. If you show up on time, pay attention, and participate youll be okay.

you have to take notes in class and that's still not enough, you also have to study on your own. He will always assume that you know everything already. He can yell at you and embarrass you. but he will joke a lot and will teach you proper physics although his tests are very hard.

Saludes prepares you for University Engineering courses. His lectures are interesting, he can be hilarious, but sometimes is disrespectful to students. First impressions with him are very important. Always show up on time. Tests have only 5 questions but he counts 4/5. If you want to learn physics well, take him! Be prepared to work, though.

PHY 1&2. Saludes is definitely a tough professor, but if you're serious about engineering, he's the way to go. He knows his stuff and does a good job teaching. His test can be tough, but if you study the problems done in class, do the recommended homework problems, and make sure to keep an eye out for little tricks, you'll be ok.

Desi is a great guy, and I definitely learned a lot from him. One thing to definitely note is if you skip class, you won't get the material on his tests. He can be a bit blunt and condescending, but his witty humor and eagerness to inspire his students really caught my attention. Definitely taking for 2049

Prof. Saludes is nice to an extent. He judges you on intelligence and how fast you can understand concepts. His class is really challenging but if you study A LOT you should be able to pass. Sometimes he adds extra things on the test to see if you read the chapters of the book and he does drop the lowest test score out of the 5 exams.

Professor Saludes is a great lecturer who really challenges you. However, his lectures are very interesting and he does a nice job tying the physics concepts to engineering applications. If you take good notes, review them, and do a good amount of the problems he recommends you to do, you should easily get an A or high B in his class.
