I can't agree more with what the prior comments say. He's a wily old man with a great sense of humor.. as well as knowledge for the subject. Go to class and take notes - it will pretty much feed you a 100 on the tests... and at the very least you're guaranteed a good laugh or 2 by the end of each lecture. LOVE him!

Great Professor! He's a funny old man who really knows what he is talking about. Attendance is not mandatory but the 3 tests come directly from his lectures so make sure to go and to write his outline plus a little more while he talks. You have to study but if you do then you will do well. I made a 100.

Pretty good teacher. Attendance isn't mandatory, but it's a good idea to come to class because he bases the tests on his lectures. You have to study, but it's pretty easy to make an A if you just study the lectures.

Best professor ever! No quizzes, no mandatory attendance, writes outline on board, very clear, only gives 3 exams per semester, no projects, no quizzes, perfect. I wish all professors were this proficient.

He gives you the essay choices in advance, but it doesn't help much when he gives you 10. His tests aren't hard and if you go to class you don't need to study much.

Incredible teacher. Knows what he's talking about and wants all of his students to do well. Made high A's on every exam, even made a 101. You HAVE to study, this is not a blow off class but it is def. possible to make an A. He alwayes lectures for the entire class time--lecture notes are pretty much outlines of your possible essays for the test.

He is an amazing professor. His test's are not hard and he always has extra credit on them so there is always a way to make over a 100. If you go to class everyday and take notes, you should do fine. If he has an SI session you can go to...go to it. It has helped me come out of this class with a high A.

His tests consist of multiple choice, identification and significance, and essay. He gives you a very structured outline of notes, he gives you the ID terms beforehand, and he gives you the possible essay questions...you won't find many other teachers who do that. He's a very quirky old man who is fun to listen too. He has my highest recommendation. If you study your notes for his tests and take advantage of everything he provides, you will do fine without having read a single sentence from the book.

Tough class, tough prof, but he's good. Took the time to learn our names and quirks and spin them into a familial class. C'mon, he visits Ranger Spring Training annually. That's pretty cool.

I've hated History my whole life except for when I was in his class. When he lectures, it's like he is reading us a story.

He's your verbatim old man, I found he wasn't really that great at getting his students into the discussion, which is important to keep attention and teach. I'm an A Student with a GPA of 3.5, and my test grades were a 24 and a 36 before i dropped the class. STEER CLEAR.
