Comment:

Flood has a pretty harsh rep on here but she is by far one of the best professors I have had so far. She is extremely organized, well spoken, and intelligent. The class can seem long at times but was one of the most valuable ones I've taken in the elementary education program. She will give you the grade that you deserve.

I was an education major before I took this class and she made me change my mind. Her lectures were long, everyone was bored. She treated us like we were the elementary students. She was never clear about what we were talking about or what she wanted us to do for homework. TAKE THIS CLASS SOMEWHERE ELSE IF POSSIBLE I PROMISE.

Basically everyone in the class failed the quizzes. She was a tough grader on the lesson plans. I absolutely hated the group projects because my grade suffered because my partner was horrible. I ended up going into her office to talk to her, and she was much nicer and approachable there. Her expectations of the students are way too high!

This is one of those teachers that doesn't care what other classes you're taking, her class is more important. All of the lesson plans that need to be done and the long take home quizzes stress you out. If you have the option to take this class elsewhere TAKE IT! She is the only one to give this course! Mandatory class for Elementary Ed. majors.

I think shes the only one to offer 245, but if you have the option, don't take her! I'm a good student and her quizzes are really hard and almost impossible to really study for. Take home quizzes are incredibly lengthy too. And she takes off points once you miss a couple of classes.

DO NOT TAKE HER!!!! Im a straight A student, and received a C in a gym class. Its completely ridiculous. All quizzes are ridiculously hard no matter how hard you study. Grades way over the top on lesson plans. She is awful.

She is one of those teachers that you just won't like. I studied for 2 hours for her first quiz and got an "F". For lesson plans, she shots down every idea you could possibly have. Mandatory attendance, waste of time, and you learn nothing. She uses the book alot and pointless reading. She treats you like a child in her gym class and is useless.

Flood was one of the worst professors I have had. Her quizes are unnecessarily hard, and her grading is unrealistic. Knowledgeable but would NEVER recommend this teacher to anyone.

When I got my schedule little did I know a mandatory "Teaching Gym" class would be so time consuming.Ugh! I think Ms. Flood makes the class strenous to try and get gym teachers respect. I think it is silly. I think very few regular teachers are asked to teach a gym class in the real world. Lots of group work, quizzes, and lesson plans.

This class is NOT as bad as everyone says it is. Go to class with a positive attitude and participate on the gym days. Study for the quizzes too, there are study guides. As long as you do all of that, you'll be ok! I got a B in the class. I would have gotten an A but I missed too many classes.

She's a great teacher, it was fun learning how to write a lesson plan from this class. She cares a lot about phys ed, but you can take this class at a community college. it is a lot of work, especially writing lesson plans. Make sure you get them done ahead of time. She will also help you write a perfect lesson plan.

I went into this class fearing the worst after reading all of these comments. To my surprise, Mrs. Flood is actually really nice and helpful. She makes her expectations very clear and grades fair. I will admit, some of the quizzes were a little tricky, but if you do good on the other assignments, the quiz grades really don't hurt your grade at al

This teacher is a scatter brain! She always has this confused look on her face. She doesn't explain projects and expectations fully and grades hard. Class set up is awful, you never really know what your grade is. She is just rude and demanding. I found her class to be the biggest waste of my time in my college career.

I went into this class with horrible expectations, and heard awful things about Ms. Flood, but the class wasn't bad at all! I got like a 99% in the class and all I did to study was look over her study guides. I think she makes it pretty clear what she expects, so as long as you come to class, you should be fine. If not, just do the extra credit.

I actually enjoyed this teacher very much. She makes grammatical errors on papers that are rediculous but get on her good side, go to class, do the extra credit!!! and you will be just fine. I actually got an A and thought i was going to get a low B.

Is is a tough teacher, but it is pretty evident what she expects. Show up to class, do the extra credit, and be a good student and you should at least get a B. She knows what she is talking about and can sometimes be confusing... but who isn't? Go into the class with a good attitude and you will have a much better experience than if you didn't.
