She's a weird lady and tends to go off topic 95% of the time. Her tests are strictly from the book but her lectures goes off and talk about random information you don't need. She has 3 tests and no study guides. She tells you what chapters to study off of. Class seems pointless to go to but she counts attendance for your grade.

homework is an easy A. Attendance helps since she grades on a curve. only 3 tests given and 50 questions each. Tends to go off topic a lot.

Horrible. Canceled tons of classes, came late to several- once an hour late! Hardly talks about material, she once goofed off for so long during lecture that students LEFT because she wasted our time. Tests are way too hard. She considers the class average as a C really good. Wont tell u wants on the test until LAST MINUTE. u have to teach yourself

She doesn't teach anything and just talks to you. Her tests are solely based on what you read and is hard to understand. She talks to us using big words that no one understands.

She is too much fun. The tests were difficult, but I used her study methods and almost always got an A+. Attendance is not mandatory, but she makes it worthwhile.

Overall good class. Kinda quirky lady. She does not use any kind of study guide, only tells you what chapters will be on the test. Grades are solely based on forum responses and 3 tests, so you'd better know the material. She's really into Freud.

Learn how to study at a university level and apply it here. Fascinating material, it would help if you read it first, then prompted Sandra with questions about it so she doesn't stray too far off track. Very nice woman, but will expect you to know the material when she tests you on it, there will be limited study guides so keep up on the notes!

Sandy is SO nice. But psychology with her is a killer. My high school advanced placement psych teacher could run circles around her. But this is just my opinion. She works with some type of people and doesn't for others (like me.) If your sure about your study skills and motivation to do A LOT of work then she's for you. If not find someone else.

Although she told great stories and helped people out quite a bit, the tests were extremely irritating. The first thing she told us was "I don't mean to put trick questions in the test", but there were quite a few trick questions due to the problems being poorly worded. Be prepared to work hard, but it's worth it, you learn a lot.

I actually took her 200 and 205 class. I have already read some of the comments already posted. I personally do not understand how someone could not do well in her class if they work.. and study. She is challenging but not impossible. I really like her, the only thing is that she lets other students veer the class off track a bit too much.

I took both 200 and 205 from Sandy, back to back. Yes it was hard to sit through, but she kept it moving. I ended up having a lot of notes at the end of the term. I studied REALLY hard for both these finals and did well. It's a university level class as far as difficulty goes. Overall, much harder than the other classes at CCC.

She had good stories, that didn't have anything to do with psychology or the chapter we were learning. I was borderline failing in her class. It was the first time ever that i have ever gotten a C in a class. She throws in questions in her tests that were never discussed in class or we were never told to study.

She has good energy. She has a good grading setup where she drops the lowest test score if you take all her tests. I see from other comments that some people don't like her. I do. I took her for 2 classes and she really knows her stuff. I like her sense of humor. She is NOT silly, she's casual in a good way. Maybe the complainer got a bad grade?

Sandy was funny. She was quirky. She was interesting to watch. She seemed a little distracted. But organized her class very well. I enjoyed her lectures, and found it easy to take notes. Her tests were worth a lot of points, and were wordy. But I think that was intentional. She wants to make us use our brains. I liked it.

This was team-taught, and the 2 teachers were serious & funny all at the same time. We had 2 main books and then other readings that we got to through a blackboard passwrd. Then speakers came in too. Like someone else said, lots of reading and writing. I really learned a lot but u have to want to do the work. u get out what u put in. Good classs.

Did not like her Humanities/Social Science class! Her and Dr. Flowers were constantly distracted and I didn't learn much of anything. The assignments were extremely annoying and redundant. The only good thing I have to say about the class is there wasn't any tests.

Awesome class. She and Dr. Flowers both taught, plus they brought in speakers. Lots of reading, but super books so I didn't mind, and I got a lot out of this class. No tests, just papers and informal presentations.
