Takes a while to warm up to, but once you do she's good. Classes are student-led. Very fond of Yeats--she will talk about him EVERY SINGLE CLASS, no lie. And beware: when she assigns a six-to-eight-page paper, she means six-to-eight SINGLE-SPACED pages. You can't slack off and pass this class. But she's willing to work with you--just ask!

perhaps one of the best english professors i´ve had, both for lit and creative writing. dr. sprayberry made my time at BSC worthwhile with classes that dared to tread beyond the great books tradition and defy any semblance of southern conservatism. all the while, she IS a southern gal at heart (just ask to see her elvis memorabalia!). take her.
