Comment:

Good person, she is so nice and approachable. She knows what she is talking about, but sometimes is so unclear on what she wants. She doesn't use canvas, so it was very hard to know what was due when. You can ask her anything, she is easy to talk to. Her class is not hard if you read the books she assigns at the beginning. Interesting class to take

Comment:

Prof O'Shea is a must take! Nicest professor in the Political Science department in my opinion. She is such a caring person and she's a very fair grader. Take her for Legal Research, I learned more about citations with her than any other class.

Professor O'Shea is such a good professor. Although at times she can be confusing with what she wants with her projects, she's very easy to talk to and will clear up any confusion. She cares about her students and wants them to really understand legal research.

Professor O'Shea truly cares about her students and is very understanding. She most definitely wants her students to excel. The class is not easy, but if you do the work its certainly worth while. Work hard and you will be fine, and do not hesitate to ask her questions she will be more than willing to help. She is a great professor, take her!

great lady laid back class, not hard but u can fail due to her instruction is so unclear/confusing she will assign something barely taught or explained & wont give feedback but will grade u like youre supposed to be an expert. 2 exams that are so tricky and don't relate to the study guide. strong emphasis on citation. you teach yourself most of it.

Prof O'shea is great! I'm actually taking her again for another class next semester. Her lectures are interesting, the class is VERY easy, there are only 2 exams - you need to study for them, there are small one page papers due every so often (very easy). The class can feel like a high school class sometimes, but it's a lot of fun!

I am usually skeptical about this site but TAKE OSHEA!! You dont have to buy the book because the exams are common sense. One paper but its super easy. Barely ever homework but only journals about 10 of them. ITS NOT BAD! EASY A! she wants to give you a good grade. She is super sweet and understanding ! please take her !!!!

Comment:

Professor is excellent and cares about her students. She spends extra time in the beginning of the semester going slow to make sure the students understand the material. The assignments are hard but she makes them understandable. I would definitely take this professor again.

Doesn't give any feedback. She gives you an assignment without explaining it and tells you it's due the next week . she relies heavily on the legal research tutor to guide us. Very nice lady but I wouldn't recommend

Incapable of balancing being a lawyer mom and being a professor; too busy. Doesnt explain anything & relies on the legal research tutor to help us. Crams all the info last minute and will leave you confused in the end. If you're interest in law, you will come out with nothing. DO NOT take, you will leave confused and stressed

Professor O'Shea is awesome! You will learn so much, and have so much fun with her lessons at the same time. If you pay attention, read what you're supposed to, and go to class, you should probably get an A. I highly recommend taking her for any course.

Fantastic teacher, makes class interesting and helps you along the way. She's very clear, helpful and is easy as long as you read. The reading is easy and the assignments are easy. Do them all and read and you'll get an A! Easy on the eyes too

Comment:

Very nice teacher and she wants everyone to succeed. She is late a lot but she makes class fun. The assignments are not always clear though and she is a tough grader. Exams do not always reflect the work done in class. The reading assignments are over the top and 9/10 she wont go over the stuff you read on your own to clarify it. No extra credit.

Comment:

I've heard she's a good professor, but maybe not for this class. She doesn't really teach...mostly it's stuff that you learn when you take the pre-req courses for this class. Assignments are a bit tough with little help from her. Doesn't really teach on researching. She's ok but I wouldn't recommend her for this specific course.
