Prof.S is the man. Really nice guy and wants you to do well. Class is a final and a midterm and 2-3 quizzes all semester, 1-2 of which are pop quizzes. Kids at NCC are way too picky which is why I guess they are there to begin with. Took this class as a visiting student. Kids at NCC don't know how lucky they are.

he was a really nice guy. he is a total his buff so hes alot more excited then i was. i dnt like hist at all but this is one of the few times i didnt mind it and passed the class. if u have questions he will help no problem and he gives review sheats before each test.. overall i would take it with him agian

He is such an easy grader!!! Assigns alot of readings and gives like 2-3 pop quizzes all year long on the readings and will usually not even fail you if you are completely wrong. Drops the lowest grade, midterm final and a paper and even gives u the midterm and final days ahead of time. You can get by on just paying attention and do well.

He is a very professional teacher. He makes every attempt to assist each student reach there potential. He does not give you anything, he makes you earn it. There is alot of reading to do. I really enjoyed his class, he makes you think. As a newer student, I learned alot from him not just about West Civ. but about education as a whole.

Overall segalla is a nice understadning guy but the class is boring. He assigns alot of reading and most of the readings are boring. But he is kind of fair because He counts your highest tests the most but I hated the pop quizes. Only take this class if you really enjoy learnig about history. Nice guy but boring

He seems to think that every student only takes his class and lives breathes eats western civ. There's too much reading and you cant understand it i spend about 25 mins on one page trying to figure out what the heck i just read! AND i'm a good student, the test are hard too. Dont take him there are much better professors available.

Great, great, great professor. Very intelligent and enthusiastic about subject matter, has a sense of humor and makes material interesting. You do have to do readings and take good notes in order to do well. Participation helps too - I'm very shy though and even I felt comfortable participating. Take him!

I almost dropped out of this class bc I didn't think I'd be able to keep up with it (a lot of reading/work). Prof. is extremely knowledgeable and is willing to help you succeed (just talk to him, he's a nice guy). I thought the multiple choice tests seemed to be a bit more difficult than the essay exams. Be prepared to take a lot of notes.

SO BORING.. TALKS THE ENTIRE CLASS, IF YOU DONT MIND READING A MILLION PAGES FOR EVERY CLASS AND THEN HAVE A QUIZ ON IT ALL THE TIME THEN I GUESS TAKE HIM.. the only positive thing is that he doesnt count your bad grades a much as your good ones.

He is very organized. If you have a question just ask. You need to read for this class. We had an optional paper which he used for extra credit. He does anything to help you. Just do as he says and you pass with flying colors. He is an excellent teacher, he knows his work. I am taking another class of his.

He's a great educator with loads of integrity. The course is very broad and disjointed, but he will help you get through it with the best grade possible if you make the effort. He's very kind, but not a pushover. You have to show up on time, pay attention, and be respectful.
