A truly wonderful instructor. She has an answer for pretty much everything that you could ask, and she is an EXPERT in fixing any embouchure problems you may have. If you practice her exercises well you will gain skill quickly. (And I answered yes to textbook use because many of here assigned exercises are out of the ARBAN's book.)

I've had Dr.Baker for many classes and I don't like her. she picks her favorites. she treats her lest favorites with disrespect and has even been known to make fun of students. she is a great player, and i found her teaching style to be informative, but i just don't like some of the things she does.

Dr. Baker is a wonderful professor. She expects you to get things done, and if you don't, she will make sure that you learn from your mistake! She is patient with you if you are willing to learn from her, and she will give you a second chance, but she does not tolerate slackers. She is the most wonderful tubists I have ever heard!

OK! I don't know why these people think badly of Dr. B, because she is the best teacher I have ever had. For those people who said she doesn't like male student very well, you are wrong. She is extremy knowledgable and is an awsome tuba player. Another comment, she very well knows what a Euph. is.
