Nord is funny as they come. Very pessimistic about life and everything in it. But, it's a funny pessimism. Hopefully he'll be around for a few more semesters. Class involves drawing 15-20 graphs per class. Exams are a little tough too. You do learn some interesting concepts in his class though.

Funniest teacher I've ever had. Brilliant as well, years of experience in what he's teaching with stories that will have you laughing so hard your sides hurt. It's a wonder somebody hasn't complained how offensive some of the stuff he says is, still hope they don't it's too funny to miss! Went to every class partially to see what he'd say/do next.

You will learn alot from Nord but he's really easy no text book use. He explains everything clearly. Don't take advantage of his ease do the work don't cheat. Saw people get caught. It's not hard.

Nord is a funny guy. In fact, he comes off as borderline insane sometimes, but his lectures get the point across and he tries to make sure everyone is grasping the concepts. The exams can be tough, but he curves. If you've taken ECON 450, this class will basically be a review of those concepts with some environmental policies thrown in.

Very smart man- and can be downright hilarious. This class is 2 hours and 40 mins long and you will RARELY get out early. So get really for your butt hurting. At least he's entertaining.

GREAT teacher who makes a boring Enviromental Economics class fun. Curves the crap out of everything. Just make sure you GO TO CLASS and you're guranteed a B. An A if you go to class and attempt to study class notes. Take this class for an easy GPA bump while they still offer it!

Shortened classes mean pain for all. But, with persistence comes hope. Downright hilarious at times. Retired as of Sp '07 but still teaching one or two classes. My C is only from my own shortcomings, the A is there for you if you want it. Aside from all else that could be assumed, a genuinely inspiring academic.

I didn't really like him. He made the lecture sound easy but then I didnt understand anything. He curves a lot, but I got a C in the class. Without the curve I (and the rest of the class) got F's most of the time. You don't use the book a lot and you should probably go to class even though it's useless. I would get someone else!

Great Teacher. He always has an interesting story or weird comment about his life. He curves the bejesus out of the grade, so it's hard not to get an A!

He is a cool teacher and kinda funny but the subject sucks. He is super boring but funny in a dry humor way. He gives HW every now and then but really grade depends on tests. If you know your gonna take this class seriously you will get an A but if you coast you'll prob end up with a C like me. Best 260 teacher if you don't want the foreign profs.

I hadnt taken ECON in high school so it was pretty difficult for me. Nord is a great, fun guy, however he LOVES to make things sound SO simple when he's teaching, so you think you know the material til it comes time to study for the test and you're lost. I studied a lot and got a C. Pretty disappointed. My friend took Dharkansar(sp?)& got an A >:(

Nord is a thug. What more can I say? The topic kinda sucks (who really wants to take economics?), but he does a great job of keeping the class fresh and entertaining.

Very good professor. If you go to class and take good notes, you do not have to buy the book. His exams were straight from the notes in this class. His lectures are very organized and easy to follow, for the most part. He is pretty funny too, so that is a plus.
