I honestly didn't mind her much but her voice is so loud that it intimidated me a bit but she is willing to help if you ask. I found her exams to be tough. Do practice questions!!!!! And go to class. Goodluck

Extremely intelligent woman. Works as an NCLEX author and runs her own testing business. She brings too much of her business into her lecture of psych nursing. All her talk of test anxiety and solutions,ect. actually gave me test anxiety. As an author you can expect her tests to be HARD. However she gives a good lecture that won't put you to sleep.

I mean you cant avoid having her if your in the nursing program, if i could i would. Her personality is disgusting. I stopped going to her class cuz i hate her attitude she talks down to people,thinks shes better than everyone. Cant stand her i know you have to take her so what i say doesnt really matter just know your in for a treat lol easy tho

Dr. Poorman is in my opinion the most understanding professor that you will find! She is very straight forward in what her expectations are but does things in her classroom so that it will benefit her students. She will not leave you stranded and does everything she can to help someone out. I highly highly recommend her :)

Dr. Poorman is an expert nurse and a great professor. She is very straightforward (blunt?)which I think is a problem for some people who can't handle a strong personality. She has high standards but they are not unreasonable. She makes psych nursing interesting and gets it to stick in your mind.. would highly recommend.
