Comment:

Literally the best teacher I've had at Lee so far. His exegesis of the scripture in Timothy regarding women being silent in church service is A1 and he's very biblically sound in his systematic theology.

Comment:

Systematic Theology is definitely the hardest class I have ever taken. However, Dr. Cross is the most gracious and understanding man I've ever met. Sometimes I wonder how such a Christ-filled man even exists. Many times outside of class he has helped me understand the material b/c he knows how important it is for me to keep my GPA and scholarships.

Comment:

Dr. Cross is a sweet old man that you absolutely have to take. He is so knowledgeable and has such a grandpa sense of humor. He makes time for his students and does not grade as hard as you would anticipate. Most get 100% of reading responses,but you have to actually do it. Essay questions on exams are not as bad as he makes it out to be. Take him!

Comment:

Dr. Cross is awesome. The tests are difficult and you need to study hard, but with that said, if you study you can make an A. Reading responses will consume a lot of your time, but if you give solid answers you will do well on those as well. Lectures can be a little dry, but Cross is so wise and wonderful. Love that dude!

Dr. Cross is a gift from God an abundance of wisdom. He can seem kind of stand-off-ish on a personal level, but I think he's just a little awkward. I can promise you though, he's an incredible teacher. Plus, he's hilarious and super helpful.

Dr. Cross is not only a wonderful professor, but a wonderful person. His systematic theology class isn't easy, but what you learn is well worth the effort. Dr. Cross sincerely care about his students, and I highly recommend taking him!

BEST CLASS EVER. My life was changed. God uses him to teach theology in a way that brings it to life. After taking his class I changed majors to theology. Is there some work involved? Yes. But he provides everything you need and presents it in a clear manner. He's also very friendly and really cares about his students. He encourages holiness.

I took Christian Ethics, Person/Work of H.S., and Intro to Philosophy with Dr. Cross, and I have never ceased to be impressed with his depth of knowledge and clarity of expression. Each class was WELL worth taking. I highly recommend this professor as one of the best at Lee.

Great teacher, in fact excellent teacher, but always tired. I dont know why he is so caught up in administrative tasks. They seem to suck the life out of him. He needs to return to the classroom where his greatest strengths and passions lie.
