I liked him a lot for the first semester until he gave us an exam that was meant for his other classes.. gave everyone a poor grade and said "don't worry the next test you take will replace this one" When it was not our fault that he gave out the wrong exam. Very tough grader even though most students take this as an elective not core class.

He RARELY answers emails & when he does its NOT understandable, NOT helpful & irrelevant. He is very rude & definitely NOT clear with assignments, he gives a due date for a discussion post but wants it to be submitted 4 days before the due date. DUE dates are for a REASON. Each 5 discussions need to be a college level paragraph if not, grades bad.

He isn't clear on the discussions he wants the class to do, his comprehension skills are horrible. He gives you a due date to submit the discussion post, but yet you have to submit it at least 4 days before the actual due date to get a good grade, which is very dumb. He also wants you to respond to 5 classmates with one college level paragraph.

While his lectures are interesting, they have no real point. He barely touches on the topics in the course, but if he does it's for like .2 seconds. I doubted what other reviewers said, but they arent over exaggerating. He really does wing teaching. I rented the book but didnt use it. I really didnt learn much.

Decent professor. Talks A LOT, veers off topic but relevant to field as he worked in it years. Helps you see broader perspective of how things really work outside of classroom. If you wanna pass; show up, listen, do your work. Tests are take home, gives 1 week. Papers, 2 weeks. If you skimp, your grade will reflect it. Confused? Ask. He clarifies.

I learned absolutely nothing in this class. Professor Miller went on and on about his own experience and expects you to learn from only that and take notes on it, but it doesn't make any sense. He doesn't provide a syllabus, there's 5 assignments and he never posts grades, there's absolutely nothing on canvas so you're lost the whole semester.

Mixed-Mode class. In class he gives you discussion topics for online work. Online we had to do 6 posts for two chapters every two weeks and discuss with other students. Learned a lot but too much work with other classes. Chapter questions should address whole chapter, not be specific and then expect students to discuss topics unrelated to question.

At first I thought he would be a cool professor but after two weeks I realized hes messy and unorganized. His lectures are NOT amazing theyre beyond the point of the course material. I learned nothing from him. Hes also the toughest grader which is funny because he doesnt even teach properly (no notes) Literally anyone else would be better.

As a criminal psych major I was looking forward to taking this class, but after the initial first week it fizzled out. Hes not very clear on any of the assignments or tests, he also has no set structure for the course so good luck trying to keep track of everything going on. The main research paper wasnt too bad. Take literally anybody else

He is by far the worst professor ive ever had. Hes offensive and insensitive in his lectures. assigned a research paper that was 14 pages that you only had a week to complete & then everyone failed it. All class he tells the same stories from when he was a cop that have nothing to do with the courses material. Bad enough to make me switch majors.

Youll love him at first because he will dismiss class early, crack jokes and say swear words all the time. But the love will be over when the first assignment comes. Hes not organized with classes and his homework and tests are extremely subjective and difficult. He grades on a curve, so that means not everybody can get a decent grade and pass.

I feel as though I'm not learning anything. We have the same assignments due every 2 weeks. 2 discussion posts and 2 tests. The thing is, my class barely participates and that makes it difficult to make 6 posts in each discussion. I feel like he's too lazy to change up the assignments even though we're struggling due to lack of participation.

Overall Terry is a great professor to take for any Criminal Justice class. His criminology class was the most interesting. Terry gives great examples from his professional career as a detective to help aid in the students future in law enforcement. He is very caring and is very understanding.

You would think this class was an English class with the amount of writing you do. I have taken 4 criminal justice courses and they have all been enjoyable except for this one. This professor thinks that having discussions every week is a good way to interact, and learn, but this just made the class so much worse. DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!

Great teacher if interested in Law or Criminology. Doesn't count attendance, all classes are lectures unless its the day of the test.

I loved having Professor Miller. I had him for Ethics, and Criminal Law. His instructions are simple. The work that he gives is tough, but it's thought provoking and helps to expand your mind. He is a lot different than any professor I've had before. He is blunt but extremely understanding. If you want a professor that inspires you, choose him!

Don't take him online. Tons of work, and you have no idea what hes looking for when he grades. He grades discussions like they are essays and gives long writing assignments every other week. I didnt mean to take him but he took over the class i registered for. Im going to withdraw.

Do not!!! I repeat do not take this professor!!! I have taken this professor for CJ and now CEP, and I must say he is absolutely the worst professor to deal with. I have sent emails to no response. His work is awful and his online class requires beyond the normal amount of work. Overall, do not take this man for any class he is teaching. Very rude

Easily the best Professor at Valencia. He is the reason I choose CJ. His class is interesting and he lets you use notes for exams, all written but easy since you have your notes. only asks stuff he has gone over. Super easy A. Take him!

Be ready to do a lot of reading and writing. The chapters are very long and you are expected to give an essay response for every discussion, followed by responding to 6 classmates and a conclusion. There is also a test every chapter. He has no consistancy with grading and you never know what he wants. Difficult class with a lot of work.
