Comment:

One of the best courses I have take in college. Very interesting and he is a great and inspirational professor. The material itself is not simple by nature, very abstract too most people, but he is very available outside of class, he explain topics clearly, and responds to emails in depth. He even has test reviews in class.

Comment:

Dr. Bartlett is one of the best professors I've ever had. He's very passionate about his work and it shows in his lectures. He's a little disorganized at some points but you if you show up everyday, take good notes, and study you'll get an A. Attendance matters because of daily grades. Start the papers early!! He also isn't a very tough grader.

He is a great professor. Engaging and intelligent, and treats students like grown-ups (no tech allowed, though). There's a lot of material and he goes through it pretty quickly. The tests are rough and there's only 2. And make sure you follow the guidelines for essays!! He is not easy, but I would certainly take him again.

A couple of quizzes per month over short, easy, interesting articles and two major assignments. READ THE ZOO ASSIGNMENT THRU AND THRU BEFORE GOING TO THE ZOO. There are two exams, so study ahead of time and prepare. Participation was nearly a form of attendance but were grade savers. Much opportunity for extra credit because exams are lengthyhard.

I took 4 of Dr. B's courses. Earned 3 As & 1 B. He is my favorite professor. Very down-to-earth, yet extremely knowledgeable. He has such passion for all of the courses he teaches! I learned so much. He is not "hard"; he's fair. If you put in the class time and effort, you will easily get an A or B. If not, you will not get a good grade.

The amount of material covered in this course was a lot, but it is an upper-division anthropology course. Expect that. He was extremely thorough, but the information came largely from his mouth and the textbook, not the slideshow.However, I am pretty familiar with the material to begin with, so I can understand why someone who isn't would struggle.

I was so disappointing in the way this course was taught. He doesn't explain things and then assumes we know things he never explained. The average from all 60+ students for this class was a C. Even if you study hard (which i did) there's no way of getting an A. My advise: Don't take him.

I have to say I was very disappointed in taking him, test are very hard and 65% of grades, his study guides are useless and this semester he showed little interest in teaching. He rushed through his slides and lectures bc we were always behind. He does not do extra credit, and alot of his assignments are unclear. Not recommended!!

Hard Hard Hard! Tests are extremely difficult! Can't believe his reviews on here are so good. Strongly suggest not taking him. Nice guy, and he does care about what he teaches. But, had I known it was going to involve this much reading, hard tests, and only make a C... wouldn't have taken it.

Funny that the guy teaches about cavemen, cuz lets face it, he looks like one with that beard. Class is interesting, but difficult. He genuinely cares and is very knowledgable of what he teaches so he expects alot from his students. To pass you have to show up, read the 2 texts, and take good notes. thts what i did, got B

fun class, very nice teacher. you have a quiz over readings basically every week. three tests. no final. you can make an A as long as you study and are willing to do the work and reading. you dont have to go to class but i would advise it cause the notes are important. sometimes gives curves and minimal extra credit.

He reminds me of Russel Crow! Just with more hair! Hes halarious! Kept me entertained! made the content alot more fun! The test were kind of hard! But he curves the grades! Made us color maps! Felt like i was in elementary! loved it! Weekly Quizzes were easy if you read the chapters!
