Such a hard class for being n intro class. You have to do a lot of reading and do well on the midterms. He does a really big class curve to help everyone! This man is a pure genius and knows everything about everything. Take the optional exam at the end of the class it will help! He always made outlines to follow, very helpful in all lectures!

Scott is very knowledgeable of the subject & responds to emails quickly. The course involved a lot more science (bio in particular) than expected & was pretty in depth for an intro class. However, my class put together a google doc prior to each exam & I never got less than a B+. Make sure to take the extra credit exam at the end of the semester!

This class is not easy! I ended up with a B+, but you really have to study and know the material well. He does a HUGE curve though, which helps. If you're interested in the subject, then I recommend it. It's a good idea to go to lecture. I missed the final, but he let me make it up...he's super nice!

He's a genius. He loves to teach the subject material. His class requires a good amount of reading. His lectures are helpful but he does get off topic, but whatever he talks about is interesting, no doubt. Do well on the tests, it's the only thing you really have to be graded on. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Scott is an amazing professor. He knows so much about the subject and has a great interest in teaching it. If you have any questions, he's great at answering them. Sometimes he goes off on a story, but usually relates to the subject. Does not use very many PP slides; wish he did. Otherwise, he is a great professor with much knowledge to share!

Do NOT take this class for your psych elective! Exams do not go with what he teaches! He is a nice man but a horrible professor. He has to curve from a F to a C on his exams, that tells you something is not right. 1st exam, the class average was 20 out of 50! 3 hours long with sometimes no break, oh it was so bad! thank goodness its over for me.

Had this guy for Sensation and Perception...STAY AWAY!!! He hasn't taught in years and still uses an overhead projector. Instead of adhering to the material he goes off on pointless tangents. Terrible, especially in a 3 hour class

He is the best teacher I have ever had. His lectures are very interesting and informative, and the guy is incredibly smart. He seems to know everything about any topic you can think of. The class isn't that hard as long as you go to the lectures and read the book.

Dean Scott is by far the best professor I have ever taken a class from at State. Not only is he extremely smart but he has the ability to take what he knows and make it easy to understand for other people which is a talent many of my teachers sorely lack. Take his class!

Scott is the best prof. I've had at State. He knows his s**t. Lectures are always interesting. Make sure you go to class and read assigned material cuz tests are based on lectures and readings. I took psy 101 3 times and Scott was the only prof. who kept me interested to learn this subject

fun but challenging. make sure you take the extra exam (with the extra readings) that is optional at the end of the semester because if you don't your grade will go down because it moves the curve up. i would have had an A but it put me down to a B.
