Easy 9/10 in the block 1 projects, however his grading becomes SUPER unclear and harsh once you get to the second block of the course. You also end up spending lots of time out of class in the second block in the computer lab during the second block trying to get projects done. Nord will also start leave class after giving the assignment

He would show up for the first five minutes, assign the work, then leave us with the TA. He is completely unavailable and truly could not care less about this course and the students taking it.

Timothy Nord is just unpleasant. Every class meeting, he wastes almost the whole class going over irrelevant information and then assigns a project that you won't have time to do and definitely won't have the necessary materials on your personal computer. He will never give a 100 but you can get close. The projects aren't hard, just time consuming.

Tim Nord is definitely the worst teacher I have had at IC so far. His grading is vague and never comments on your work. You will get an A but will never receive a 100 on any of the assignments.

He is the worst professor I ever had at IC! He is never willing to helps students outside the class. He treats students rudely. His workload is unreasonable. He doesn't care about students at all. I had strong interest to the subject before the semester, and now it's all gone because of him. No rubric for grading.

He never cares about students... The way he teaches is very rude, and he can't even express himself clearly. Why he is the only person teaching this course? He makes my life at school miserable. He doesn't even have a rubric of grading!! He just grades whatever way he likes to. The worst professor ever.

I actually hated this class. It was a ton of busy work on programs that I have not actually learned to use. His grading is harsh and uncalled for. I honestly tuned out a lot of the time because his voice is irritating and he's a condescending person. He shouldn't be teaching. The biggest waste of my life. No sane music majors enjoy his class.

One must have patience when dealing with Dr. Nord. Complete the assignments on time and be OCD with each one. He has no mercy when grading and can be unclear with instructions. The TAs are usually more helpful.

I think he is extremely rude and doesn't care if you're having trouble. Often I think he gives snide comments when you ask a question and acts like you're really dumb. Many people don't even know how to use the programs and when I went for some help, he was angry.

Very proficient technologist, excellent teacher. Great theorist too, for those that remember back to before he stated the mus tech programs. Great guy, taught me a great deal. Wish I'd worked harder in his classes, bet I'd have learned even more!

Dr. Nord is like the nicest man ever. He was totally helpful and would do anything to see his students succeed. Yes, the class was at times boring, but you can only do so much with that subject matter - and let's face it, you either like it or you don't. He is just a great guy, extremely bright, and always willing to go the extra mile.

I didn't retain enough. Nice man, but he needs to give hand-outs so when we need to remember in the future, we can look back and use them as guides. Loooong hours for the classwork!
