Grades things to his liking, which makes doing your work very difficult. As well as your test grades. Very sarcastic when you ask questions as if you are supposed to already know certain things. I would not recommend.

Dr. Schroer is a bit of a tough grader, but he is usually reasonable and fair. He does have great lectures, but he may speak too fast for some people. If this is the case, it may be helpful to watch the lectures more than once. He was not kidding when he said the chapters need to be read carefully on top of watching the lectures.

Lecture is crucial!! If you dont show up you will NOT pass. readings not a big deal you can skim and be fine. His exams are all essays so you MUST know your info. He lectures like we are as knowledgeable on the topic as he is which can make it a bit difficult to keep up. He is very blunt, throws shade, and can make you feel stupid. Overall: good

Kissing my Honors Program goodbye to this guy. Drones on and on through slides, gives essay style test that can be graded to his liking so who knows if you're actually wrong. DO NOT TAKE.

Dr. Schroer is very knowledgeable about his field but seems to sometimes forget that his students are not masters of the field. He's very accessible outside of class but will sometimes make you feel stupid for answering a question or asking. He makes it sound like reading the book is crucial to your grade but you'll be fine without all the reading.

I really liked this class and this professor. He was accessible outside of office hours and enthusiastic about what he was teaching. He doesn't take attendance but you will miss important lectures if you're not there, as his Powerpoints aren't very useful. I didn't do the readings as much as I should have, but I still did well without it.

Honestly, if you put forth effort by reading the assigned work and doing the homework to the best of your ability, this class is not that hard. He can be sarcastic and blunt at times, but I think he's just really honest with his students. Overall, I enjoyed this class & the lectures were interesting minus the statistics day, but that was expected.

I have never taken a terrible class like this one before. It's by far one of the hardest ones I've taken. Not because of the course work or load, but how he taught it. He is not good with keeping things interesting at all. Everything that comes out of his mouth is monotone. I would not retake this class with him again, Ivy tech is my best bet .

He is by far the WORST professor I've ever had!! He tells you in the beginning of class that people have to take his class 2 or 3 times to pass. Also he tells you that on the second test (theory test) it's almost impossible to get an A or B on it. He gave me 35 out of 50 participation points when I talked almost every day in class. Not helpful.

Dr. Schroer is one of my top professors at USI. You will notice his leftist tendencies as they are apparent in his lectures, but he is very intelligent and thorough in his field and notes. I didn't agree with most of his political philosophy, but he was very open and friendly to all students, and is a great professor to learn from.

This professor is very knowledgeable about the material! He is very easy to approach whenever a student needs help. Be sure to read the textbook and be in class for unannounced in-class assignments!

He is nice and is pretty enthusiastic. He says he doesn't have time to cover all of the important stuff in class so you have to learn a lot from the book. His PowerPoints aren't very helpful so you have to listen close to what he says. His assignments aren't long but he is a tough grader. This will be the second C I've gotten in my school career.

He is a great prof if your willing to put the time in for his class. You must ask question if you don't understand he will help and you will learn a lot. Do not take if you could care less about the subject he is not easy. Overall awesome

As long as you put forth effort in reading and participating in class discussion you should do well. He takes time to help clarify material if you do not understand, but you must ask! Dr. Schroer is knowledgeable and does a good job of communicating subject matter

By far the worst professor I have ever had in my 4 years!! Ignorrant to you when you ask questions and just makes you feel dumb... I wouldn't even recommend my worst enemy to take this class or any with him.. Just awful and terrible professor

Did not care for him AT ALL. He requires participation but then makes you feel stupid for your answers. His powerpoints are a mess and his tests are difficult to study for. Try to find another professor if possible.

Difficult professor. He requires participation during class for points but usually makes you feel dumb for your answers. Not very encouraging. Powerpoints are messy and confusing. Tests are moderately easy if you follow the study guides. He wasn't too bad of a professor but not the best either.

This class is a LOT of theory, didn't really get interesting until the end. Dr. Schroer speaks very fast but gets across the material he tests on. Tests come STRAIGHT from the study guide topics and were very easy if you knew the study guide well. The outside readings are covered by maybe one or two questions on the tests.

I would have never taken this class if I knew what a terrible person he is. He is rude and could care less about his students. The semester started off with 20 students and at the end of the only had 9.
