A wonderful professor, and his knowledge of art is profound. His classes are never boring, and at times it is like watching 'Comedy Central' and learning at the same time. He is a fair professor, and there is a textbook you can use as well. If you take good notes, you will not need the textbook. He was the best professor you will ever have.

Great Professor with a keen wit. You can take notes in the classroom, but I liked the textbook as well. Be prepared for a fun ride and a professor you will never forget. If he slaps your desk with a ruler, grab it out of his hand. haha

Great teacher, probably one of the best teachers i have ever had, he is so funny too and makes art history entertaining. I am so glad i had this guy, he is very helpful and cares for his students, be respectful to this man he deserves it!

Good teacher, really funny. Attendance is not mandatory but his tests are based off the lecture notes and he doesnt use blackboard so you need to be sure you have someone to take notes for you if you dont go. No text book. Big clown. Took a students shoe off and threw it out the door last week....

Pitts does a good job teaching the material and providing some relevance to it. Class is near impossible to fail if you attend the lectures, though attendance is not mandatory. Bad jokes and all, you can tell he has a very kind heart and cares about the things he teaches.

Pitts has to be the best art history professors of all time! I have taken four classes with him and studied abroad with him as well. Truly a helpful man that cares about his students, and the more he picks at you the more he loves you. The classes are all slide based, so go to class....

Great guy. Really funny. Used slideshows, so you either HAVE to take notes or know someone who does. Learned alot. Probably wont remember much of it, but I still learned alot. No textbook or blackboard usage.

I think all the other comments cover it. He's a great teacher and his class is really easy! The only way to fail is to not take notes and not study. Not bad AT ALL for an 8am.
