I would definitely recommend this class for anyone who needs a UI300. It's a really easy class. You just have to show up often because he does have a few pop quizzes. But the homework assignments are pretty easy and the tests were never that difficult. He gives you a study guide for the tests too. It doesn't hurt that the subject is fun too

Easy class but you have to read the book for the exams. Somewhat boring but you get out early a lot and he gives extra credit for attending a lot. Also you need to go to class bc he gives "pop" quizzes alot where the class says the answers out loud. It helps your grade alot.

Dr. Hoover is awesome. Take him! But be warned, his tests are kind of hard, so read the book. Go to class because if you skip you're likely to miss a quiz which will kill your grade.

BORING. he had tons of examples though. we tended o get out early but the times we stayed for the entire class, it seemed to drag. A lot of people skipped class but sometimes he gives extra credit for coming. tests were pretty easy but there were always things from the text that we didnt learn in class. its common sense. he can be rude though

Even though it is "PY", it is a statistics class. Hoover is super nice and fun, however, IMPOSSIBLE to comprehend. I'm good with math, and I maintain a 3.5, well, until this semester. This class is nearly impossible to comprehend, and Hoover is so smart that he can't break it down into lay-man's terms. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS CLASS!

Professor Hoover is an AWESOME teacher!! I never studied or even opened my book and made an easy B. This class is great for people who don't care how much they learn because you probably won't learn a lot in this class. Hoover is very nice and will do anything for his students. Definately take if you can!!

I feel like I learned a lot in this class. He explained things really well and answered questions thoroughly. Everyone says not to take him if you're going to take burns for py370, but I didn't have a problem at all in burns' class, and i think hoover did a great job.

Hoover is a great teacher. We always got out early, and the class was very easy. He made the class fun and interesting. The tests were also very easy, but sometimes he seemed to put in a few questions we never went over, so you may need to take notes or read the chapter if you want an A. Overall easy class.

Hoover is a very nice man who's definitely interested in us as people. It's important to him that we learn in his class. He has random stories, but they end up having a point relavent to the class; these random stories help to remember the material when it comes to test time. (There are three.)

Hoover is by far the best Stats teacher SEMO has to offer! He is funny, makes the class interesting, and actually knows the information he is teaching! It's just a shame more teachers in the Psych department aren't like him!
