Professor Friedenn is very passionate about teaching English. She's knows the subject very well. She's is a sweetheart and does care for her students to succeed in writing proper English. I recommend her if English is one's major. Be prepare to write many essays, but don't be intimidate for she will help, since she has a lot patience.

Sweet lady... easy class, IF you can write essays well.. but she's very helpful and will help you edit your essays before you turn them in.. did i mention.. u'll be writing ESSAYS?! she tries to be funny, and it's kinda cute, i guess? but you'll never know what ur grade is until the very end.. she uses a very strange grading system.. good luck!

Ms. Friedenn is a great teacher. I am not going to lie, at the beginning she is a hard grader but then again, she helps SOOOOOO much that if you don't do well on a paper it's because you chose not to put in the effort. All you have to do is try and you will be fine!

This class alternated between intense boredom and a lot of fun...ms.friedenn is a little crazy sometimes, and tends to ramble about unrelated things...unrelated boring things. you'll pass as long as you master MLA format and are great with grammar. and proofread your papers a million times, she's really picky

...her class is a strange combination of interest and boredom. She lectures about interest topics in a very very very boring fashion. Half of the class stopped attending the class regularly and the other half that show up are often found sleeping throughout the whole time. She will stabilize your writing through essays, though.

She has so much great things to say. I guess it adds more to the experience because we have things in common like the film industry. Making movies..fun. OH and I really brushed up on my writings in her class. At least I got to know how bad it really was.

Friedenn is a cool teacher. she grades hard on the first few assignments but dont chicken out, easy grading starts when grades really count. her grading system is great: no percentages and confusing stuff like that. its also a fun class. she is really nice and friendly. TAKE HER!! P.S. i got an A+.
