Absolutely terrible prof. He has an accent that you get used to. He goes really fast, but will slow down when you ask. He cares way too much about his students and emails each one of them as encouragement. Worst of all, he's too kind and too nice and helpful during his many office hours. Would not recommend at all. Also, check out the date boizzzz.

Wentang puts in a lot of effort into his teaching and is very helpful in-office hours. With that being said, there are some drawbacks to taking a difficult course with him. He often proceeds at break-neck speed and your struggle is too keep up rather than to understand what you're writing. His accent is thick but you can get used to it.

He cares about his students and really tries but his accent is so heavy its quite difficult to understand and he moves through the content too quickly so its very difficult to keep up with trying to understand what he says and the content itself. Whats with UW and the awful math profs this term??

As long as you get used to his thick accent, he is awesome. Lectures were not as engaging, at least he tried. Go to his office hour! He explains way better outside of classes. My favorite prof in 1.

GO TO PROF HOURS. Seriously, best thing I've done for this course. It can boost your average by 20% (no joke). Also, use the textbook to understand some of the theorems, you will not understand it using his notes alone.

He was very good at explaining concepts and made the class interesting, however he often spoke way too fast and wrote too quickly erased the board too quickly. The assignments were mostly hard, but the quizzes, midterms and final were very generous.

Not a good professor at all. The accent is very very strong and he can't really teach. Never taking classes with him again. It was a mistake!

He's a smart guy but he fails to convey the lesson often. The issue is that his pace is too fast; his accent isn't that bad to adjust to. Another issue is that he does not do enough examples. Overall, he's not a bad professor but you're better off going to another section as the course really follows the textbook.

Very brilliant guy who knows the material inside and out. Gives lots of helpful examples and great explanations to make sure the class follows, while still moving through the theory at a quick and interesting pace. You get used to his accent very quickly.

Wentang Kuo is a great professor, but lacks clarity of speaking English. Otherwise, he makes sure you understand the material before he moves on to the next section. Algebra class attendance is not mandatory since he teaches a lot of the stuff from the textbook.

Funny, loves the subject, and obviously enjoys teaching. He's also very quick with responding to emails. However, his writing is very hard to make out, and I don't understand him very well when he's speaking in class. Enroll with him at your own risk...

He was prepared for lectures, knows the material well and was very enthusiastic about the class. You could tell that he enjoyed the subject. Also the assignments/midterm were not too difficult. If you did the work assigned and went to tutorials you it was easy to do well.

Took me three weeks to get used to his accent, but decent prof none the less. He really knows what he's talking about, though it seems he does overestimate the education we receive in high school...
