He's a really great guy, a great professor. He encouraged class discussions about all sorts of topics, including the assigned reading. He's great to talk to and gives really good feedback on essays and homework assignments. One of the very few classes where I actually wanted to try and put effort into.

Will Marquess is one of the greatest professors on campus. Constantly smiling, easy to get along with, not a horribly tough grader. Would absolutely take a million more classes with him. If you are reading this because you have him, you are so lucky.

Will Marquess is the best professor I've ever had. I've taken Brit Lit and Fic Writing with him, and both have been amazing. He teaches in a way that makes you feel like you are in control, and is extremely thoughtful and helpful. He's a total sweetheart, and my experience at this school would not be the same without him.

Will Marquess is easily the best teacher i've ever had. Started each class with some of the funniest jokes i've ever heard. The class was about non-conformity and the readings Will had us read were perfect. Let it be noted that he taught the entire semester with a very serious health scare, and didn't miss a single class. Going to miss this class

Took Fiction Writing, and he is simply the best. Helpful, clear, articulate, smart, funny, engaging, kind - the list could go on for a while. If you have an interest in reading or writing, take his class as soon as you possibly can. He's an outstanding professor who takes his job above and beyond. I loved Will's musical voice as he read passages aloud. His axioms and other handouts were helpful and amusing; he put a lot of thought into the course. He was incredibly supportive, helping students grow as both readers and writers. The choice of Lamotte for texts rocked. And what isn't hot about a guitar player who wears Chucks?
