Dr Miles is a great professor. He really cares about the students and is accessible out of class. He gives opportunity for easy extra credit on each test and could definitely pop up to your class one day with Dunkin' Donuts!;)

I had to take both Calc 1 and Calc 2 but I am so glad that I had Dr. Miles as a professor. He is so approachable and willing to help students. He teaches Calc 1 really well and it is an easy A if you pay attention. Calc 2 is a really hard subject in general but Dr Miles will help you a lot so take advantage of that. 4 tests per semester.

Dr. Miles is a great professor. If you need help he's always there. He even spends time in class if people have homework questions. His tests are hard but if the average is low he'll give everyone an opportunity to raise their scores

I always have a blast with Dr. Miles. If you need to enjoy your professor as a person to like what you're studying, this is definitely the math professor you want. He's laissez faire about the correct amount of professor involvement in a student's learning, which isn't good for people without personal initiative but I always really enjoy his class.

Very hard professor, is very into his field and expects everyone to have a PHD in the same field. His exams are way too hard for the material he presents. Got extremely pissed off when the majority of people failed his exams and he blamed all of us! DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!!!

pretty easy class. tests are not very hard, and he makes sure if anyone has a problem, that they understand it. very understanding. quizes are easy, grading is easy. not too clear in his lectures but overall pretty easy.

he takes the first 20 mins rambeling about a different topic each day(hurricanes, Clemson, the new baby)it is nice... makes lectures shorter. he is not very clear during lectures, but he will always make time to help you any way he can outside of class. to get anything out of him, meet in his office

Funny man, sense of humor like Dana Carvey from SNL. No class attendance policy. No make-ups for pop-quizzes or tests. Pop-quizzes are open book, hw, notes - one problem. Wastes frist 20 minutes talking about Clemson or cracking jokes about Stetson's lack of social life. WORD PROBLEMS ARE KEY!

Test are way to hard, does not help at all with reviewing of tests. Does not assign problems that resemble tests. Turns entry level students away from Mathematics. Only take class if you already understand calculas completly.

Comment:

Good at explaining concepts. Does not always have example problems done before class, but it's good to see him figure them out with you. Very helpful and down-to-earth (not just because he's short), good sense of humor.
