Comment:

Dr. Korth is super nice and has a cool sense of humor. Although earth science is not my thing, his class is pretty straightforward. But the only way you'll receive a good grade in it is if you pay attention to lectures and study. If you miss too many classes good luck. The book isn't necessary unless you want an extra study guide.

I loved Korth. He makes a lot of jokes and is truly passionate about what he teaches. He likes to give a lot of information in a short time period so you cant zone out or else youll miss a lot of it. But despite the vigorous notes I would 100% take his class again

Written 3/28/18: Not helpful in any way. My recommendation to the incoming Fall 2018 Class- PICK ANOTHER SCIENCE p.e.q. This teacher is funny but the lecture style does not work with students who have learning disabilities. No make up quizzes, exams or papers. NO IF ENDS or BUTS. I really hope I can save a few Freshman from taking this course!

Not helpful outside of class. Lecture can feel unnecessarily rushed. Book isn't needed if you take efficient notes. If you go to class every day and keep organized notes then the tests and quizzes are straight forward. Weird guy, but relatively easy class.

Classes always felt rushed. Usually ended 15-20 minutes early. Tests were all writing. instead of choosing major, important facts for the exam questions, found the most obscure terms. Half the vocab words on the exams were only mentioned briefly in the book (if at all),exams count for 70% of grade and absolutely no extra credit. Would not recommend

I took earth science and history of life with him. He says random jokes which make class interesting. He also curves his tests in all of his classes. Gives out a ton of notes during class, so make sure you show up or you'll miss a lot. If your just trying to fill a sci PI or PII, I recommend dr. Korth

One of the best classes I've taken. But always study the time line of when the dinos lived. So many people didn't do that (myself not included) and ended up with crappy grades.

Comment:

Korth is a great teacher. He takes boring things and actually makes them interesting. He is a funny man and his tests and quizzes aren't hard at all. The tests and quizzes are straight from the lecture notes so you don't even need to crack the textbook.

Wow, this guy is the best. Also, his dancing skills are superb, as he pirouhettes from time to time. He's very animated, and he keeps his students into the lecture material in an entertaining way.
