An incredible man as well as an incredible professor...Jack truly cares for every student and goes above and beyond to help. He has given me and many others opportunites that would have never been possible without his help and desire to push everyone to do their best. This is the second course I've taken with Jack and he's just an amazing professor. His class is an open forum where all the students end up knowing each other and raising your hand is never necessary. There's some reading, but in the end your bound to find out something new about yourself and have a lot of fun doing so.

If you like a very rigid and structured class do not take this class. Jack is very open to discussing issues not on the day's agenda, which makes for some fun classes. He really tries to get everyone envolved.

This professor is an incredible amount of fun. I recommend everyone try to take a class with him. There is a lot of reading to do, but most of it is quite worthwhile. Having a class with this man made me question my basic beliefs about life. I feel that it has helped me to analyze very basic attitudes and beliefs that I have and improve myself.

Prof. Rollins is fantastic. His classes are interesting and the casual atmosphere makes conversation easy. No two classes are the same - they're all based on who is taking them. The guest speakers all add unique viewpoints and the books are all top selling novels.

Jack is someone worth getting to know; he truly understands what students are meant to get out of college and teaches that along with his lectures. A positive attitude and outlook will get you far, as does an eagerness to learn. His office is often open to students - take advantage of it!

He definitely knows what he's talking about and can tell all kinds of stories. Class discussions can wander, but it always relates back to the topic of the day. He demands respect and can come on a little strong if he feels that respect isn't being given. Just participate and do the work. He's a great teacher and mentor.

Discussions wander, but he does get disgruntled if we don't cover whatever was on his mind, so it shows he cares. Definitely knows the field and has a passion for it. Doesn't teach in any sort of traditional fashion, ever. Hates chalkboards.

This professor may be able to lead interesting discussion, but he seems to play favorites and can occasinally be overly harsh on certain students despite his casual attitude. If you don't mind sucking up you are set, if that's not your style try another prof. =)
