Without a doubt, the worst professor I've ever had. Never responds to any e-mails [and this is an online class!]. Posted assignments 2 weeks late. Didn't help out any students. The only time we got an e-mail from him was when the Dean of School and Department chair got involved. We all ended up teaching ourselves. Horrible, frustrating experience

I agree with the most previous post. I believe we are in the same class right now, and I don't even want to finish my final assignment...because it's like what's the point? This is just too weird. Why would he get a degree in college, and then choose to teach, and then throw it all away by not being dedicated? Help us!

This could have been an amazing class, but he was the worst professor I've ever had. Cancelled half the classes. Gave lame excuses. Took forever to grade the papers. Paper promts were lame. Occasionally responded to emails. Total flake. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone nor would I ever take him again. Super flake. What a waste of time.

I am taking this class online and it is an EXTREMELY hard for an introductory class. He won't respond back to questions and the book is very hard to follow. If you have an interest in philosophy but are new at the subject take it with someone else b/c you WILL GET COMPLETELY LOST in this class!

his class made for an interesting discussion each time we met. however we only met around 7 out of 18 or so times we were supposed to. but considering this I would definitely take the class again in a heartbeat. very intriguing and philosophical class.

I took this class online, so I never met the professor. He did not answer my e-mails back, so that sucks. He took a really long time to grade the midterm and it is very annoying to take a quiz online every week. Not a very hard class, but I would not recommend it for general education. The book is hard to understand and takes a long time to read.

Gunther is the most intelligent and well cultured teacher I've ever seen. He knows so much about art, you could take this class twice and you woldn't get bored. Record his lectures because they are awesome. Essay topics are cool too. Take it, you'll love it.

This guy has no business teaching ARGUMENT. His examples are bad and confusing. I know because I studied LOGIC with a great teacher in S.F. and take my word for it, this guy sucks. He's too conceited to admit he's wrong either. Trust me. Take anything else.

York's a smart guy and gives great lectures. But it would help if he didn't cancel half (literally) the classes. There are 2 papers, each worth 45% of the grade, and he disappears for 2 weeks so we can't even ask questions!As far as looks,*not impressed*
