He is OK. The online class is a good idea, because you don't have to spend 5 hours a week in class. He is helpful and gives feedback very quickly after you post something on Catalyst, but you need to write a lot and be a good writer to get an A in his class.

he's ok. definitely not the worst. there r many ways to get an A in this class: write a LOT (my frd did), write concise n short essays abt his topics...its the typical eng class.dont take him if eng is not ur best language. soemtimes it becomes unclear wat he is askin for in his papers, but he's not too bad. its probable u might get an A.

I don't know where this guy gets these low ratings, unless from whining slackers. Sure he's tough on grammar, he's a writing expert. Do yourself a favor, take Splitter and learn something. Class discussions are interesting and for the serious, he'll give you all the help you need, trust me, I needed a lot of help. I got it and did just fine.

hard grader is the only description i can call him!!! he expect perfect grammar and perfect content that he expects you to write!!! however, u can hv lots of fun discussions in class, which make u wanna go to class!!! (he cares about attendance)in effect, abhorrent argument b/w students might bring up in class and they might make you sick

Very enthusiastic, his lectures to me seemed like nobody was listening. An analytical word Smith however intelligent he professes on his own level, undemanding to what's the necessary course for me an individual to achieve. I didn't pass instead failing to realize I wasn't skating through at par, not until after the final he told me I had failed.
