Enjoyed his visual demonstrations. Although Professor Sharp is a very knowledgeable and dedicated instructor, I was not a big fan of the way the class structure was laid out. There was little to no homework assignments, and coming from a participating and avid note-taker like myself, majority of the exam material was not what was taught in class.

The lectures are easy enough, but I got the feeling he likes to talk only hear his own voice. As long as you start early on the online tests, you can pass it in your sleep. He likes to encourage class participation in discussions but again it's really only to hear his own voice. Must have heard a hundred times about his roof solar panels, I get it.

Although Sharp isnt a bad professor, he is boring. You can tell hes passionate about earth science but for non majors, its hard to match his energy. Attendance isnt mandatory but you do get points for using your clicker each day of class. My one big complaint is that the exams were very different from lectures which made them difficult.

This class was very lecture heavy. It wasn't hard, but there were a lot of tests so the lectures were necessary. The tests are online so make sure you take good notes because you can use them. He always had a study session before the tests which was awesome, but other than that he was hard to get ahold of outside of class.

Zachary Sharp is very is a very knowledgeable professor. However, he is a very approachable individual. There were only 3 midterms and one final that counted for the majority of the grade in the class. Showing up to class also mattered because we used the clicker to sign in and answer questions. They weren't many points but by the end it adds up.

There is a lot of room for credit and one is attendance, we used I-clickers so class was very easy and efficient. There are like 3 midterms and the old midterms were given to us to use as a study guide. The lectures are kind of boring but also super cool. The class was very interactive and extra credit was given for questions being asked in class!!

Dr. Sharp wasn't one of my favorite professors. Most of our grades were based off of the tests which never really had anything on them from the lectures; therefore the lectures were basically pointless. He does post the previous tests online which are almost identical to the exams. if you study the old exams you should be fine.

Comment:
Dr. Sharp is extremely smart. So smart, he kind of struggles to realize a lot of students don't have the kind of knowledge he does. If you pay attention and ask questions, material is understandable. He doesn't offer very many assignments so keeping your grade good is really rough. He's not open for questions and is very condescending if you ask.

He is a wonderful person and professor. He is so passionate about the subject, insanely knowledgeable, and works really hard on the lectures he gives; he's SO inspiring and makes the material so interesting, I absolutely love the class despite it not being related to my major. Take good notes, be active, actually study and you'll do well on tests.

By far one of the worst classes I have ever taken. The homework is very hard to do well on because he does not tell you which you got wrong. He is rude to students and although he can be funny at times, it does not outweigh the other negative aspects. I regret taking this class with him because he made it much harder than it needed to be.

Zach seemed like an interesting teacher, but I felt him missing the first two weeks of class was unprofessional and put us back a bit and he rushed on some topics that could have been more in-depth. Some questions on the midterms would have a specific answers, but in class he wouldn't give a clear answer.

He's a nice guy. I enjoy that he's sarcastic and opinionated. You don't really need to go to his classes. The notes are online and right before a test, he gives you an outline and the old midterm that has basically all the same questions. It's an easy class. Also, the text book is optional. Don't get it unless you're majoring in something similar.

I know a lot of people thought he's rude but, and maybe because I am older, I just brushed it off. I found his sarcasm to be funny and I did not mind that he was extremely opinionated. He was interesting and I enjoyed his class.

His class was extremely easy, but as a person I didn't care for him. He could be rude at times and seemed full of himself. He also spent a lot of time sharing his opinions and seemed offended if anyone disagreed with him. Other than that, the class is easy. You don't really have to show up. Notes are online. Just come to the test reviews.

Super Liberal that thinks everyone agrees with him. Every lecture is about the exact same thing; global warming.

MUST GO TO CLASS AND TAKE GOOD NOTES. You will not pass if you don't. I went to his office hours and pretty much had to beg for his help. He midterms are extremely hard and there is never a clear study guide. I would recommend taking this class with someone else.

Comes off rude but is actually a nice man! The class isn't hard at all, and attendance isn't mandatory but everything he says in class is usually somewhere on the tests. Not much work, but the tests can be difficult if you don't go to class often.

Good instructor. Very passionate about his subject matter, and I learned a lot. He also gives lots of opportunities for points, so your grade is not dependent on just 1 midterm and 1 final, which is nice. I'd recommend him.
