I took him as my Chem 1211 lab teacher and he's honestly pretty nice. He just has a very thick accent so it's really hard to understand what he's trying to say. He's an easy teacher, but you'll have a hard time if you don't know what's going on and need a lot of help from a teacher.

Never, ever take him.I read the comments and registered for his class. A good person, a bad teacher. He shouldnot be teaching. 75% of the class droped and the rest expect to fail. I love chem, but Dr Ali presents it boring.

SUCKS! I read the ratings, and took the class anyway hoping it would not be that bad. I was wrong! The lecture is pointless! You have to learn everything on your own. I would have received the same grade if I never went to class, and just read the book -- because that's what you need to do, all of it on your own. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!! REALLY!!!!

Easy class if you can read the book and learn the material on your own. Lecture are complete waist of time. But tests are fairly easy, all multiple choice. Labs are super easy No labo reports. He is very nice and tries to be helpful, but has a very tick accent. He is also very good in chemistry if you can understand him.

This is the worst learning experience I have ever had. Explanations are terrible, accent is thick. I can't understand what he is saying. Additionally, he mumbles and speaks too softly. He is a very nice man. I hate to say these things, but it is not fair that I have to suffer for a "nice man" to keep teaching. Avoid his class at ALL COSTS.

He is a terrible teacher! I don't undestand why is he still teaching? He has awful accent!! I couldn't do well even though I tried hard! It was like a distance learning; no explanations, no review questions for tests which were very hard! Don't take him!! Unless, you are a genius.

VERY nice man, and he knows chemistry, but he's not that great at teaching! His tests are hard, though he is very willing to help you get a good grade. Still, it's a lot of work and if you're not a natural at chemistry, expect to need a tutor!

This professor is AWFUL!!! He doesn't teach! You are expected to do it all yourself with no instruction. And his final was done by another instructor which was intended to be open book and was not and did cover things we didn't do in lab.
