Here I thought he was an amazing professor. The exams he gives are inconsistent and confusing. Lectures are slow and dull. I would not recommend him for micro.

Excellent instructor. He is very clear and clearly explain every term especially graphs and diagrams. I'll highly recommend this prof. Just take notes and follow his instructions and you will surely get an A or A+

If you attend every class and take his notes. Its very easy to get an A in this class. His midterms and exams are based on his notes. He will let you know what exactly is on the midterm and the final! Too bad he won't be teaching at U of M anymore!

Classes explain concepts clearly, and if you answer a question, he will remember your name. helpful ouside of class, tests contain exactly what he ways they will. highly recommend this class, especially to those of you who are mathematically inclined.

Funny and well dressed Prof. makes you want to come to everyday class. Always asked students if "you have questions". One flaw that I noticed would be how the exam questions were worded it's often misleading! Looking for a GPA booster? Take this course at your on risk b/c if you want an A you have to work hard.

Ahmed is a great instructor. He's one of the few instructors that want you to pass. If you go to class and take notes you're looking at an A. Definitely made me interested in the subject. He can be a bit dry at times.

This prof's teach style is hard to follow,most of the time the explanations of subjects were not clear. Questions on the tests/exams were confusing.I wouldn't recommend him.

terrible, his tests didnt follow his lecture notes, he was never available for extra help, did not prepare class well for mid-term, if you are in his class you are going to have to learn almost the whole course on your own.

This teacher is not about failing he really does want his class to pass. I had no interest in this class, I had to take it to get into my Faculty. Ahmed was terrific really. He'd be hard not to like. A quirky fellow. Unfortunately asked some real jerk questions on tests, bottom line...half the class got an A or better.

Ahmed is a cool guy, he's always rocking the sweaters, very classy. Clear teaching style, class is not to fast paced. He encourages asking questions, actually I should say, demands you ask questions. Take ECON 1200 with him and get your A.

Took this course through distance so I can't comment on his teaching. Six assignments throughout the course and they were all easy to understand and strictly done using the textbooks. No idea how I got an A going into the final with a 70 and it counting for 40% so he must have bumped the marks up based on class performance.

ahmed was terrible. he replaced janice compton when she went on leave - talk about going from the best of the best to the worst of the worst - explanations were unclear, tests were not based on lecture material, grade dropped significantly after he replaced dr. compton. not recommended, too bad i got stuck with him.

Ahmed's teaching style was terrible, always wasted class time by asking students if there are questions when there were none, explanations were always vague and now that it's all said and done, even with an A+, I don't think I have a solid foundation in macro because of him. Test questions were TERRIBLY worded and confusing. Not recommended.

Other reviewers must have had a far different experience than I did. Although you can tell he cares about students, his teaching style just didn't work for me. You're on your own for notes, his explanations explain nothing, he always insists on the class asking questions, even though no one has any, and his tests are horribly worded and confusing.

i was super excited for this proff when i read the comments, but he DEFINITELY was not what i got. the way he words his tests is so hard to understand, he always asks if anyone had questions when no does, so he would wait for 5 mins. for you to answer. and nor do i understand how the final exam and the 2 test are all worth the same amount..

When I read reviews prior to taking Ahmed's class, I was expecting a phoenominal prof. I must've had someone completely different then. The course was all over the place, tests poorly worded, could not take anything away from the class because he'd confuse you, pauses every minute to see if anyone has questions, lectures drag on...need I say more?
