First off, I would like to mention that this guy posts your grades on cengage and then has the nerve to give you a lower grade then you revived. Hes very judgmental and self absorbed. This means learning from him is next to impossible. The biggest lesson this guy has taught me is that DePaul university is corrupt! Worst professor ever!

Sadly you have to show up to his class every week so that he can provide you with an approximation of what your homework will be and what he will test you over. (because he never actually covers 100% of what he will expect you to know) He makes mistakes often and a majority of the time doesn't even notice it. He is nice, but a horrendous teacher.

If you dont like math or if you arent good at it. Click out right now, he is not worth the headache. I took this class with a lot of familiarity with the math, so this was a fairly okay class for me. But, still doesnt excuse the fact, that he mumbles and is so unclear. If you do the online homework, youll pass, but attendance is mandatory.

From lecture & in-class worksheets I was often confused by the day's topic, seems like he tried to go into the theory but I don't feel he was very effective. I didn't have the book so maybe getting it is useful, still passed without it - online HW features were very helpful. On the brightside, a nice curve was applied to exams. Take if only option.

Worst professor at DePaul. Doesn't answer questions at all: not during class time, or office hours. He doesn't let you finish what you are saying and starts yelling, not letting you clarify. Exams are always surprising, as they are nothing like the review sessions, homework, or class lectures. Do not take this professor.

Stay away from this professor at all costs! He always mumbles towards the board, skips steps, and is flustered and unprepared. The tests he gives are nothing like homework/lecture problems. Refuses to answer questions during class or office hours. I have an A in this class, but only because I teach the material to myself using the textbook.

He is the absolute worst math teacher! Don't take him if you have the option. Attendance is mandatory, so is the book. He doesn't stop to make sure students are understanding and is often unclear. Find a study group and use online resources to pass the class.

Professor Berele is does mumble sometimes but he's great. He's a very easy grader and ALWAYS curves on tests and the short worksheets we had every class. During worksheet time you can ask him for help and he's super helpful and easy to understand. I never had problems meeting outside of class with him. Textbook was required but I never bought it.

Be prepared to teach yourself. He mumbles during the lectures, talks facing the board, no one can hear him. He is never prepared and flustered. He wont answer your questions, isn't available outside of class, and often misses class for holidays but your attendance is mandatory. We used his book for the class which was less understandable then him.

I personally had a very easy time with the tests, but most students did not. He had to curve all of them. Material is easy but his teaching is unclear. After every class I had to reteach myself the material. Gives worksheets at the end of every class, part of participation grade. Online homework and quizzes due constantly. I'd avoid him if possible

He is the absolute worst math teacher I've had so far at DePaul. Attendance is mandatory. He gives a worksheet at the end of each class that is due before you leave. Homework and quizzes are online. 2 midterms and a final. He doesn't explain material well. Didn't learn anything. Don't take him. You will regret it. He is all over the place teaching.

I had an easy time with the tests -- they were very straightforward. However, every single night I went home and taught the material to myself after lecture. It was a very rare day when I understood it and didn't have to have the book teach it to me -- and on top of that complete the daily homework. His style of teaching was very unclear.

Nice guy, but can't say anything positive abt his teaching. If you can, take someone else. Lectures were consistently confusing, wkshts every class (for attpart), hw due every class, three exams. Key to the class: focus on hw and hw makes up exams. Basically use the book and teach yourself with help of tutoring laboffice hrs.

If you can find another professor, I'd say go for it. I took him because there were no other options this quarter for Calculus II. He is non-linear, kind of all over the place, and does not give clear lectures. I did not have a tough time with Calculus in general, but his class was tough. Attendance mandatory, worksheets everyday, and curved exams.

I took him because he was the only teacher available for this class, but I recommend waiting until another quarter if that is the case. I was forced to reteach myself or go to the tutoring center for each assignment, which did not fit well into my schedule and caused me to fall behind. He skips over a lot of essential material. Avoid.

His passion for geometry really made this course awesome! He knows his stuff and will try to do anything to help you pass. Has two midterms and a final. Along with weekly homework and a written project. I failed the first midterm but ended up with a B in the class. Everyone else who say he's a horrible professor are completely wrong.

Go to class! Everyday you do a worksheet and he takes the worksheets together and creates exam. Very easy class if you show up and work on the worksheets. Study those!!! No need for textbook everything is online for my math lab plus. Very nice guy but a boring subject

Allan truly is a nice guy, and he means well. He was all over the place in terms of teaching and you couldn't understand what he was saying half of the time. He's awkward and super boring. I took calculus in HS before this class and he still manages to confuse me. I'd find another professor if possible...
