For INTE 290 I think Andrew McAusland is the only prof that do not put a final exam ! When you don't have a final exam NO stress / Grading: There are 4 online quizzes each one worth 5% (multiple choices) + 3 assignments (word 25% + excel 25% + power point 30%) / Easy to pass and have a good grade so gpa BOOSTER only with Andrew McAnsland !

Comment:

(2/2) On the downside, IT'S 2016 AND NO ONE USES OFFICE 2007! Rly easy course is for those familiar with the basic functions of computers/Windows XP/Office, but least half of what you are suppose to know is outdated. Ex: exam question asking about IM programs from 10 yrs ago is 100% irrelevant to both life and knowledge. No practical application!!

Comment:

Mr. McAusland seemed like a nice, accessible (by providing a personal email/phone number) guy despite the fact that this is an online course. You get one open-ended assignment for each chapter (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) that is graded according to the features used instead of the content, which allows plenty of room for creativity.... Easy enough to pass and do reasonably well without effort. However, the TAs are awful. They refuse to answer any question directly. Takes a month to receive a graded assignment (with minimal comments!).

Since the beginning of the summer intensive I had emailed the teacher as well as my assigned TA, we only have 1 final exam left to do and up until now have not gotten a reply from either one.. Also the quizzes were always on Thursday -the same day your assignments are due EXCEPT watch out! the last one RANDOMLY comes on a Wed. was not impressed

I took this class because people said it was apparently easy. It was not. This course could be interesting if the assignment instructions were clear and the content was up-to-date. Don't put small details in your assignments because they won't bother to look at them. Use Ctrl+F for quizzes, don't read the PDF. Study lessons for the final exam.

Extremely difficult to reach with any questions or queries. Class material is fair and simple to study. However, assignment instructions are very unclear. TAs run the whole course. Not impressed.

In overall, this class was fair enough. Be prepared to read many readings for each lesson. The quizzes and assignments were easy. The TA's were helpful and gave great feedback for my assigments. The final was made of 120 multiple choice & truefalse questions. One minus was that there was lot of readings to do for an online course.

Comment:

Completely disorganized and unprofessional; routinely ignores e-mails and/or promises to follow-up on something, then never does. The only way to get anything accomplished when the professor is ignoring his e-mails is to file a complaint with the Ombuds Office. I'm an A-range student who's not afraid to work hard, but this was a "must drop" course!

Save yourself the trouble, stay away.It's not about the prof. TAs are incredibly rude and are no help. Instructions are unclear (if you ask about them, you will be told to reread them) and you only get a grade(no feedback). Some say it's an easy A but it's not worth it. The whole thing is so outdated. Just save yourself the trouble.

The problem with this course is that it is extremely heavy! Each lesson consists of 100-200 of pages of PDF reading. There's so much information to memorize your head will spin. Maybe this class would be better if it was in class than online. Would not recommend unless you are taking less than 3 courses/semester.

People expect to get an A without doing any of the work. It's the easiest class I've ever taken, and with very minimal work. It's basically what you took in Computer class in elementary/junior high.

Do NOT take this course. I was told it was an easy online course, but it is not. Not only is it made uselessly difficult, but the assignments are graded poorly with an aim to amass lots of low grades. They take a course that could be fun and engaging, and turn it into a meticulously difficult chore ; TAs are useless and assignments unclear.

I went in thinking this was and easy course...well they just restructured all of the assignments...they assignments are unclear and TAs will not help at all. TAs run the course and are useless. Assignment instructions really unclear and boring topics.

I've never met the Prof, and his TA's were helpful, however, this class was just painful. Yes, a lot of people got A+ - A-, however, there was also a large majority that received anywhere from a B+ - C-... The material is so dull, and his quizzes are difficult. Luckily the mid-term was easier. All in all, this class is an easy B, but work for an A

fun online course. quizzes: use the search field on the pdf textbook. 3 assignments:fun to do! final exam: about 84 questions that resembles the self-assesments. TAs are cool. I don't know too much about computers that's why I had to sweat a little but it really is worth taking it instead of some other boring online class (like arth)

TA's were highly disorganized. Half of our semester marks weren't corrected/released a week after the final. Not only that, but they shut down our eConcordia profile before they could give us any of our marks back. So basically we can't see where we lost our grades from. Class is a boring joke.
