Comment:

To much joking and playing around. Can't tell if he's serious or not, and if he is serious :-( Lectures weren't very good, and was not based on textbook, to many personal stories. Test and quizzes were more lecture based, not much textbook material on exams.

He is really a great guy. HOWEVER he gets off topic all the time which makes his lectures nearly impossible to follow and the class notes horrible. Our second test was on 11 mods in the book "mods" 15+ pages long so they are chapters. He gives 3 tests and 7 quizzes and drops the lowest quiz. all tests and quizes are t/f which makes them impossible.

Don't take Carrano! Nice guy, but he has a story for EVERYTHING, yet his tests are all from the book. Also, if you don't go to class you lose points. His test are impossible with 50 TF Questions, but they are horribly worded and you can't make heads or tails of it. Trust me, some of the other prof. are not as fun, but you will at least pass!

First time teaching this class. Didn't use a textbook, which is nice, but his class was very unstructured. You really need to write down EVERYTHING he says, and try not to miss any classes. Also gave extra points on your final grade for not missing any classes. He's sweet and funny, but it would have been nice to have structure. TF tests!

this teacher is funny and he has a great personality. really nice, but as a teacher he didn't teach us much. i feel like i taught myself in this class he makes you read the book and teach yourself. my recommendation, read the book and go to his class because he gives points for going. if you don't attend, he will lower a letter grade

its hard no to like him as a person, very funny guy. However, as a teacher he can be messy and all over the place. take notes from book, read, study, you'll do OK. tests are true/false but mostly common sense

Funniest professor ever. Really knows his stuff. He's spend a number of years as a school psychologist so he relates experience to class content. Tests are pretty easy, 50 true/false questions.

He makes a tough subject easy. There are only three true-false exams so the work load is light. Make sure you keep up with the readings because they will be on the exams. He is a funny guy who made the time go by fast. He is a little disorganized once the semester gets going, but otherwise is a good bet.

It was the most boring class I've ever had to sit through in the past four years. He acts like hes a tough guy because he's from fair haven, he does give extra points to your final grade for attendance and he allows the class to argue points on the test but I would never ever take him again. Way too painful to sit through!

Carrano is one of the nicest professors you;ll ever have. He's silly and funny and easy to like. Go to class because he gives you extra points, and he gives useful lectures. Sometimes goes on tangents, but when he does, just chill out. Take notes on videos. All tests are True and False and he doesnt do trick Q's. Awesome class, Easy A.

He's so funny. i loved taking his class. i called him Uncle andy cuz he said i looked like his niece. The class is easy as long as u go to class. he gives points for every class u attend which helps if u bomb a test. tests are true/false which he makes him self (3 of them) If u dont like humor dont take him cuz he cracks jokes on everyone.
