I took a class this semester specifically to have Andy again. He is so caring about his students, he isn't a tough grader, he's so fun and unique, and he's always happy to give feedback. He wants everybody to have as good of a grade as possible. He is definitely different as a professor, but different in a great way.

Andy is hands down one of the best professors I have ever had. He definitely inspires interest within all of his students regarding the material, and though his teaching techniques could be considered to be slightly unconventional, your experience will be exemplary if you choose to embrace them. Just dance, man. Really dance.

I had the opportunity to take 3+ classes from Andy because of a program I was in. He is by far my favorite professor I've had in college. He genuinely cared about each of us throughout our journey - personally and academically. He has a disposition that made us want to push ourselves to not disappoint him. Some of the best discussions about life.

Andy is a really great professor. He's a little on the "free-spirited" side, but he's insightful, caring, and just a cool dude in general. We read and wrote a lot in this course, but that's to be expected. He gave great feedback, even though much of my writing was outside of his field. A great creative outlet for a scientist.

Andy is wonderful. He really wants you to succeed, both as a student and as a writer. There are a few papers you have to write, but he gives you a lot of time to write them. You get to pick your topic, so that makes it more interesting. Andy cares about his students and he's open to helping you with your assignments. One of my favorite professors.

Andy (in the Utah catalogue he is "William") is a wonderful teacher. He works hard to be supportive of all of his students to pursue their dreams and push themselves. There are no exams, just a fair amount of papers, I'd recommend taking this a semester or two before your Hon Thesis, both at the same time is a lot of work!

I have had two semesters of class with Andy thus far. I wish that I could have a class with him for the rest of my life. The discussions are engaging, fun, and very open. He expects a lot from you, because he believes in your potential. It is always a very personal and fresh perspective on teaching with Andy. I recommend his class to everyone!

Fun guy, connects with his students on a personal level, friendly and helpful. The class alternates between weeks of no homework and weeks with way too much, which is a little annoying, but overall it's manageable. Going to class is fun because there's always an interesting discussion, and he allows you a lot of freedom in your writing. Great guy.

Andy is an amaazing teacher, he genuinely cares if you learn and get a good grade, I wish all teachers loved their job like him. He is such a cool dude, and even though its a writing class he brings in so many other elements that make it cool. great class, and he is super flexible on things and will work with you if you are having trouble.

Andi is wonderful! I ended up with a B- but it was my semestre from hell! That said he will work with you in every capacity he can....I see him round campus to the day and he still say's hello and remembres me. Take his class and stay on top of the work and you should be fine.

Andy is an incredible professor. He teaches from an enlightened perspective, and is an excellent discussion facilitator. Andy makes the environment comfortable enough for any opinion to be voiced. This was a deeply rewarding class. Andy is a great professor, and he is open to all kinds of ideas. The creative exercises made this class (which would have been dull otherwise) an enjoyable experience. He fostered great discussions and challenged us to better ourselves as writers and students. Take any class you can with him!!!

Andy is SUCH a good professor. There are lots of creative exercises that expand my writing style and they're fun. This class has 3 "big" papers and about 10 creative exercises. Not the most demanding of classes...unless you procrastinate!! But Andy is SO helpful and just an awesome person. He is so interesting. I highly recommend him!!
