Fantastic conductor! Did not like her at first, but her sass and passion really got to me. I ended up really enjoying rehearsals and her as a professor.

Comment:

Undoubtedly one of the most amazing conductors I've ever worked with. She knows exactly how to get a perfect sound out of her choir without difficulty. She can get her point across to voice majors and non-majors alike. She is strong-willed and a bit set in her ways, but if you respect her, she will respect you. And she can be so hilariously sassy.

I had her for 4 years and one summer at Tanglewood. At the end of the 4 years I told grievances about her choral classes. She responded that she did not know my name but knew my face and my bad attitiude. She skipped my name when announcing graduating seniors and when confronted refused to apologize she is a FAKE WOMAN.

Honestly, it's great if you're just taking choral ensemble for fun, but if you're a vocal major, you will hate your life--especially Wednesday nights, when it's hot as hell, and you've been on the same page for 20 minutes.

Ann Howard Jones is one of the most wonderful teachers I have ever had. I have been in chorus with her for 3 years, and I truly feel that I have learned so much from her. She embraces the non-music majors in the ensemble while demanding equal musical excellence from all. I will seriously miss Wednesday nights with AHJ when I graduate.
