This is one of the best teachers I've ever had. I took her for three years and remember everything I was taught. Those who say she's a bad professor are what I like to call "lazy". You can't expect to do well if you don't try and, as long as you try, Washburn will help you learn the language and pass the class.

Mrs Washburn forced me to move away. My family loved Hasbrouck Heights until she came. I was able to get away from her she sent me Spanish emails filled with games to attempt to harass me. I was emotionally destroyed and never want to the wash again.

I really don't feel like I learned much in Professor Washburn's class. She rarely ever assigns work and instead reviews the material repeatedly during class. It's hard to learn the material without actually applying it. She would always bluff and tell us there was a test or a quiz so we'd study for nothing. But overall she's not the worst.

Terrible all you do is repeat vocabulary the whole class. does not teach grammar. The department gives out a final and midterm so study on your own because she won't teach what's on the midterm or final.You have to print all your online spanish assignments since she doesn't know how to use the computer.Don't take her!

She is VERY strict in the beginning to filter out all the people that she know wont be diciplined. try to put up with it. as long as you do everything she asks for youll be on her good side. shes really nice and she does want her students to succeed. i didnt go to the lab once and i got a B.

The nicest lady ever...aways trying to teach life lessons..dosent put up with wise asses in class...unfortuneately it seems as though she expects you to already know the material..she dosent really teach she just tells you to memorize stuff with no rhyme or reason...very tough to follow

I took this course over the summer & there was 5 ppl total in that class. She basically tutored us not teached us, which was great. I got an A- just as long as you do your portfolio well and show up you'll pass. I got a C on the midterm & did HORRIBLE on the final & still got an A. She's sucha sweet lady just dont be a smartass. Highly recommend!!
