She is a great teacher. It is obvious that she loves what she does and is willing to have you no matter what. As long as you study the quizzes and tests you will be fine. Plus, under certain circumstances, she let's you exempt the final.

Take this class seriously. Just because it's music appreciation doesn't mean it will be a breeze. As long as you keep up on the readings, pay attention in class, and respect the subject you will do fine. You also have a chance of exempting the final which is awesome.

Mrs.Hudson teaches Music Appreciation,she is a great teacher&does take the course seriously.She's a little on the quirky side.You will have to attend 10 concerts on campus, a presentation,& quizzes once a week at most. She has great&easy extra credit options. Her tests/exams are tough, but she sends each student a study guide. You'll learn bunches!

TERRIBLE!- don't take her. I had an idea of being a music major and she has completely turned me off from music forever! Her tests are extremely confusing and she requires 10 concerts throughout the semester as well as singing in class! Not fun, but her love for music shines through in her BORING lectures.

Music Appreciation at 8am is not a good idea if you are not a music person (I'm not)-she enjoys having her classes sing. Hudson is a really nice lady, but she is a little odd. Her tests are written very confusingly. Her extra credit opportunities are generous-take advantage of them.

Her love for music shines through during her lectures. Material is incredibly boring...tests are now multiple choice and very confusing...but she makes it as interesting as possible. Def recommend her!

Easy course, except that you get quizzed on a reading every class. It's true false though so once you get an idea of what she tests on you can skim through the reading and still usually manage a 9/10 average.

The tests are a little hard, but she helps you out! There are quizzes every class but sometimes she gives you the answers! You actually have to study for the tests, but come mid-term she offers extra credit and I think she curves some grades, because I don't know how I ended up with such a high grade!

I LOVED Mrs Hudson. Read your book for quizes, which are given every day, and you will def. need to study the music she tells you too. If you study then you'll be fine. If you ever need help with the class she'll help you. She's a really nice person. If you get a chance to take her, take her!

Awesome teacher and person. Highly recommend for anyone who needs 131. She is extremely funny and tries hard to help. You have quizzes every class, but in the end it helps you and she offers alot of extra credit. She ROCKS!!!!

THe course is hard, but she makes it clear for us to understand. I recommend that all music majors and minors take her (not that you have a choice though).
