Shes so kind and she really makes the class a great experience. I was scared of taking this class because I never took Chinese before but she was extremely helpful. The class was interactive and I learned a lot. At times, I felt like we were moving to fast but she requires us to go to the TAs during the week and that helped reinforce the lessons.

I love professor Chen. I was afraid to take Chinese due to its level of difficulty but she does her best to make it interactive and fun. She's an adorable woman and as long as you participate and do the work, you'll be fine.

It is Chinese after all, it's a hard language to learn, but put in the effort, and it will definitely pay off. Dr. Chen only makes the experience better, she teaches with patience and is always there to provide help whenever you need it. Definitely take her for Chinese.

Intro to Conversational Chinese is cool. The only hard thing is that you should take that class in your freshman year, reason being is that you need the extra time to study the characters. She is a cool professor to talk to. She understands that it is hard to grasp,as long as you try, an A is given.

The sweetest Professor EVER. She obviously is passionate about teaching the material and really wants the students to both learn and enjoy the class. Keeps a very very difficult language to learn interesting and forms bonds with students. Choose her!!

Very, very sweet woman charged with teaching all the Chinese classes after the professor died last year (quite a task). The class is focused more on learning than grades. However, it still is CHINESE and requires hours of studying a week just to keep up
