He's an easy grader. You never really get your papers back. It's actually interesting if you like learning about the bible. It gets boring during the time of the semester that he talks about the history of the bible though.

I don't know why his ratings are so low on here... Prof. Ramsey is the best exo-deut teacher. He REALLY knows his stuff and he has changed the way I think about the bible. I find myself repeating the things he has said in class a lot. Its definitely a 'get out what you put in' class so if you dont work hard, yeah you're going to bored. Take him!

Again, not the most interesting guy but he knows a lot about Exodus. I liked him a lot. If you're looking for an easy A take this. You have homework often but the are participation graded so if you do the work then you get the points. For your papers he will basically tell you what to write in class, if you pay attention. I would recommend him.

OMG BORING! Easiest class ever, he cancelled all the time, he said attendance was mandatory but never took it, tests were super easy, and only had like 3 papers and were graded very easily as well. No final- only a paper, and hw is only credit/ no credit. If you want easy take him. If you want to be entertained do NOT take him.

Very boring. Helped very little and assigned assignments that were not relevant. Did not grade the long and complex essays he assigned and tested on material that he did not lecture on. Even if he did lecture on it you'd be lucky to have stayed awake. Do not take him if you want to grow in your Biblical knowledge

he is a very interesting person in general, has lots of great stories but as a professor, he it terrible. maybe he just had too much going on this semester but he came super late to class almost everyday and cancelled class at least 5 times this semester. easy but you learn nothing

He has some interesting insights, goes off on really funny tangents. Tries to foster discussion in class but if you don't contribute it turns into a lecture. Few hard assignments at first, but then you move into simply reading the text, which really is fascinating the way he teaches it.

really cool professor. Really enjoyed his class and he knows what hes talking about. His class is pretty easy homework is easy only thing that sucks is the final paper but its not a hard topic just long. but overall hes great!

He's a really good professor, knows his stuff. If he doesn't agree with everything you say he can seem a lil' rude... :-/ I stressed more than I needed to. I definitely recommend him, less homework than any other Exo/Deut professor. Voice is kinda boring, but pay attention, especially when he talks about Israel's history.

I really enjoyed this teacher. encouraged class discussion constantly, he made this run of the mill bible class more interesting and deeper. I strongly recommend him for Exo/Deut. Work was not that challenging with only a few papers and 3 easy tests.

Ramsey is such a great guy! He tries to keep class/lectures fun for being a Bible history class. His tests aren't too bad. He does make you read and do some deep thinking, but it is totally worth it and not that hard once you turn your brain on. He totally reminds me of a surfer dude.
