Brad is a great professor. He is he reason I became a philosophy major, and I am a more intelligent, thoughtful, and aware person because of him. Professors like him make a liberal arts education what it ought to be: the setting down a path of life-long reading, learning, and curiosity. Just be sure to read and show up!

Brad is a great professor! The material we're studying is tough stuff, but he makes it absolutely engaging and therefore interesting. He teaches in such a way where it's clear he really values our input and reaction to the material we're covering, and is more than willing to stop to clarify the important and more difficult concepts.

Great professor!!!! He really knows what he's talking about and is great at explaining it. Classes are very discussion based, but he will occasionally explain a concept for a few minutes or more. Class is based on philosophy as a way of life and focused on a few major philosophies instead of just covering a bunch of different philosophical ideas.

He is a really neat professor to have. He is very intellectual and makes the class fun. However, he is really tough on grading papers. I think he is generous for his final grades because I ended up with a B when I did not get anything above a C on the papers (20% of the grade each).

Park is a great guy, but he tends to overintellectualize, particularly with the eastern traditions. Tough on papers, but he is extremely generous when it comes to the final grade. Great guy, Great Prof.

Brad is a really cool guy. There are no tests, grade is a combination of essays (you can rewrite) and reflections on the reading for each class. He's mainly good about talking about what he's interested in but he's also open to letter that conversation go on tangents for the students. I loved taking philosophy with him! TA was super helpful, too.

Brad Park is amazing - smart, interesting, thoughtful, kind, and willing to meet with you outside of class. Some find him boring (his voice is soothing) and think that he's not as strong outside of East Asian Philosophy. Still, if you have any interest in this subject at all, take it with him!

I've never been more confused in a class. I never knew what was going on or what was being discussed, even though I did the reading every time. However, Brad's very understanding and VERY generous when it comes to grading.

An incredibly smart guy, he definitely knows his stuff when it comes to the subjects that he teaches. However, it is also quite clear that he does not know a lot outside of his interests, and you do notice that he repeats certain phrases - "it's like surfing" a little too much. He can be dry sometimes, but he's overall a very interesting professor
