I took Discover Chicago: Theatre, and Brenda was a fantastic teacher. She was so much fun and the class was very enjoyable. She is a playwright, so she's very knowledgable about the theatre and can tell you how to get to any place in the city. She made the transition into college smooth. Word of warning: Wear extremely comfortable shoes!!

Awesome teacher. She was incredibly helpful and very clear. She is absolutely hilarious and has a great sense of humor. She can be strict at times, but never without good reason. If you do well, she'll give you an A. She doesn't play favorites or do anything otherwise unfair. You will most likely actually learn something useful.

Brenda was honestly one of the best teachers I've had at DePaul so far. I took two of her classes and would take more if I could. Fair grader, clear assignments, very understanding, and overall just a really awesome personality. Papers weren't too dense, reasonable deadlines and she always offers her help. Definitely take her!

AMAZING. Brenda is a rare gem. Whether you love writing or hate it, you will love her class. She is understanding but also pushes you to do your best. She'll let you out early and give you treats when your done with portfolios. How could anyone hate her? She is FANTASTIC. I honestly have changed as a writer because of her.

One of the sweetest persons I have ever met. Smart, funny, and made me see writing in a completely different way. Bootcamp sucks, but it does help to improve your writing. Take any class you can get with her.
