THE WORST BUSINESS PROFESSOR ON THE CAMPUS OF UNCC AVOID HER AT ALL COST TERRIBLE CLASS LITERALLY WILL GIVE YOU A 55 QUESTION EXAM WHICH IS GRADED SO HEAVILY WITHIN 45-50MIN OF CLASS TIME. i enjoyed her lecture but her test are really hard and confusing you have 3 test and 3 presentation and 5 quizzes no extra credit, if you make any move in the class she will get upset so don't make noise, she say attendees not important but she have a sign sheet every class at the begging and after brake so be there,it was a struggle to make C

Honestly, shes a good professor, but a terrible test maker. If the tests werent so hard then the class might actually be enjoyable. About 5% of the class will get As on the exams and 25% will get a D or F. Dont be late to the exam either or shell kick you out of class

If you want your grade given to you don't take Kane. You will WORK for every last point in her class. You do however learn a lot you just have to get past her rough demeanor first. I've taken her twice its never easy but if you are in business at UNCC you will likely HAVE to take her at some point. Just show up and be PROFESSIONAL!!

Comment:

Ms. Kane is a good professor, but do not take her if rely on powerpoints and lectures to prepare for a test. Reading and taking notes out of the book is a requirement for the way her tests are set-up. I've also found her to be helpful if you contact her and have never seen or felt some of the disrespect others have mentioned personally.

Honestly one of the worst professors I have had at UNCC. She ACTS like she is willing to help students when talking to the class. But when you go to her for help she is rude & doesn't care. I am an A/B student and am struggling to pass her class. Gives a study guide but doesn't help. Test are confusing, puts 2 could be right answers. AWFUL TEACHER!

Professor Kane is a no nonsense teacher. She tells you exactly what to expect and takes no excuses. Her exams are extremely difficult and not based on her lectures. She will always ask you to talk about something you learned in class that was not on the exam and that is the only time you can get credit for listening. Read the book and you will pass

Took for 3140 & 3260. You either love her or hate her. Truly cares for students. Stern. Wants you to succeed but you must work for it yourself. Tough grader but if you actually work like you're trying to get a job after college instead of just biding time, it shows in your work & she sees that. READ THE BOOKS--Non-negotiable. Attendance mandatory.

Tests are easy. Memorizing the definition helps but it won't be on the test. She uses examples and you choose the word that it describes. All multiple choice. Her lectures aren't your typical boring PowerPoints. Lots of interaction which I enjoyed because i hate LECTURES. Some students hate her personality i think they too picky

The class is somewhat confusing when it comes to structure and grades. Ultimately if you work hard and listen to her advice you will get something out of the class. If you take this as an ordinary class, and don't put in the additional effort you probably won't do well.

This class is simple if you put the work in, but the professor has a lack of respect for her student's. Any time I would ask for help, she would give me a hateful remark. She is sarcastic and quite rude. If you can handle this, then you can manage in every other aspect. Just be sure to actually read the book. It is imperative to passing her exams.

She's absolutely horrible. She's not the worst professor I've had but as a person, she definitely is. She's condescending and makes you feel like an idiot. She changes due dates and then forgets, and blames the class for not turning assignments in. Class is pointless. Her tests are nothing but vocal words from the chapters. Should be online.

If your goal is to find a professor that will give you an easy A without truly learning the objectives, please do not waste Mrs. Kane's time and expertise. She was the best professor of my entire college experience. She will do anything to help her students learn course material. She is tough, but she cares a lot about her students.

Mrs Kane is a brilliant professor that has a lot of inside knowledge of the in's and out's of management. She can help you with your professional development in her class and you can learn what it takes to be an effective leader. I thoroughly enjoyed this class-it was very engaging, challenging, and worth the effort. Every lecture was inspirational

Missing high school? Take this class. The material is college level; the professor is not. She has little respect for students and an I'm-always-right mentality. You have no idea how you did on team assignments until the end of the semester. If you study, tests, assignments, and team presentations are easy. You just have to deal with the prof.

You either love her or hate her. Personally she was one of my favorite three professors at UNCC. Very vibrant and passionate about her subject. If you respect her she respects you and I felt like she treated me very professionally. Basically show up to class and participate, like any other class, and you will do just fine.

For regular students only- Don't take her because the best grade you are going to get is a B most likely you will get a C or D. Her tests are about 80 questions and some questions are pretty confusing. She is exactly like that teacher from harry potter For over achievers- this class will be great for you take her

The comment about her being like Umbridge is spot on. I'm typically an A student, but she so far has been my only B. Her slides are straightforward, then the tests throw curveballs, and are incredibly long. She has this "Professional Image" grade, which is subject to her impression of you, along with attendance. Avoid at all costs.
