Principles of Sociology was torture with Ms Feyen... She was an unfair grader, her tests were ridiculous, and she failed a good portion of my class. Retaking with Dalecki, his exams are difficult as well, but he is a much better teacherand does his best to make the class interesting

Worst class I've ever taken! She would mostly talk about her son and not clearly explain things. She repeatedly told me that I was wrong, she didn't care to explain anything to me just saying that anything I did, when even turning in assignments early, was wrong, and to do the assignment correctly. She ruined my Spring semester for me.

Super opinionated! I was incredibly disappointed in this boring class. Make sure you get a seat in the front of the class due to the fact that her small voice doesn't carry past the first row. She rejects all other opinions even if they are backed up by facts.

She is liberal and as it has been said before she asks opinion questions on tests and if she doesn't agree with your opinion you are wrong even if you back it up with facts. I wrote a paper that covered everything she asked and she still said I didn't do it and wrote an essay to me on how I suck. Her and the book beat around the bush with topics.

She's very difficult, depending on the mood she's in. She's not afraid to embarass you in front of the class, especially when you're giving an oral presentation. Isn't always clear, and lectures are quite dry.

I think you guys are being a little harsh. Yes, she's opinionated. But once you study sociology as much as she has you'll find out that's how things are. Do your work and you'll get an A. I'm taking my second class with her. Just fill your papers with textbook references and you'll do fine. Boring? A little. Difficult? NO!

She is a very opinionated teacher, who makes her opinions known to the class. She turns the class into more of an anthropology course than sociology as you focus lot on poor people and why that is the case. She will spend a decent amount of time covering material that will not be on the test, she just wants to talk about it. I really disliked her.

Exams are multiple choice but not very easy. She assigns a LOT of articles to read and has questions on exams from them. She reads directly from her power points which are posted on D2L. There are multiple extra credit opportunities but if you don't agree with her your answers will be wrong. VERY boring to listen to.

Very boring class! Reads directly off the PowerPoint. Has questions on tests that are from long articles that you are suppose to read. PowerPoints can be difficult to study from. Have to write a few papers and give a speech but other than that no homework. Not an overly hard class but very boring.

She is a terrible teacher. Feyen uses a lot of opinion based questions, asks us to use facts to back our answers up, and then fails to agree with what we wrote, regardless of how well we do. She also uses a computer based test format, in a subject that is based on a persons own interpretation of the facts. DON'T TAKE HER FOR ANY CLASS!

This teacher is the worse teacher I have ever had!!! We got one of our papers back and 75% of people failed it and 49% of people failed the exam. Then when she told us this she said, "I dont really care because you guys are not studying." I am pretty sure this is saying something about her teaching skills.

she's a terrible teacher. She teaches principles of Sociology like it's a 3000 or even 4000 level course. It's ridiculous. there's a lot of reading to do, and if you fall behind you are basically out of luck. the tests are multiple choice but are irrelevant. I'm a psychology major and I'm struggling with this class. DON'T TAKE HER!

She is a very hard grader, but if you ever need help, she is always willing to help. I took her for Marriage and Family and struggled with the papers. But, I talked to her and ended up getting a "B" in the class. It was interesting and enjoyed it. Attendance is not mandatory but it really helps when you attend..

Excellent communicator, explains material very well. Enjoyed Wallerstein's Theory, which she used great visual aids-board diagram. Excellent teacher, teaches with passion and is always there when you need help.
