Carole was a nice woman, when you can actually get a hold of her. I emailed her many times throughout the semester and never received a reply. Her tests are easy if you study. She does offer extra credit but it's a lot of reading and extremely time consuming.

Comment:

The class is easy overall. She gives you lots of opportunities (extra assignments) to get an A, so it's not that difficult to do well in this class. Tests are multiple choice (with a few bonus questions thrown in). There are no test reviews so make sure you pay attention while you read. If you do the extra credit assignment, you will be fine.

This class is an easy A. Literally show up to class, do the take home tests and you'll get an A. If you miss a certain amount of classes, you'll drop a letter grade, and she will instruct you to do makeup work in order to receive a higher grade.

2316 Personality and personal growth was a very interesting class I learned a lot. Also there are no exams, you will have to read 2 books of her approval and give one oral on one of the books. GO! to class and participate and you will pass!

Personality Psychology 2316, Dr. Pierce is an awesome professor, the class is very interesting. No exams given, but you will have to read 2 books of your choosing with her approval and write an essay and do an oral report on one book. Attendance and participation are EXTREMELY! important.

Comment:

Human Growth and Development was interesting and pretty easy. Prof. Pierce offers 3 extra credit reading tests and 3 required exams. Read the book and take the extra credit exams and you should have no problem getting an A. She does take some time getting back to emails and tends to make it a group email rather than an individual email.

Amazing. Carole is by far one of the most wonderful individuals I have ever met. Took her for personality and all we did was sit in a circle and discuss topics from the book. She was so laid back in regards to input. No tests just 3 easy as cake book reports. Bc of her I read a book that changed my life. I would definitely take her again any day!

The class isn't "easy". Tests are application of concepts & less rote memory. Really need to understand ALL concepts of the book, even some stats. Prof was never heard from once course was up in BB. Study guides are a waste bc they cover the entire book. Requires motivation to stay atop deadlines & teach yourself. Not a hard A. Lots extra credit!

Human Growth & Development was a great class! Mrs. Pierce is attentive to your emails and responds within a day or two. I used the textbook and the online student study questions to study for exams. There are only 3 exams, with Reading tests from the Annual Editions book for extra credit. Highly recommend this class!!!!

I took her Human Growth & Dev. online, and it's REALLY easy. Just skim through the book and take the tests. She gives bonus questions on every test, and offers a (really stupid) assignment for extra credit, if you want to buy another book or read it in the library. The online class felt impersonal and distant, not like my other classes...

She is GREAT!! As long as you read and attend classes, you make an A. We had group discussion regard the things we did not understand. She gave take home test and lots of extra credit. I recommend taking her class to ANYONE!!!

I love being in this class! The teacher is so nice and understanding, the class itself is easy, and the teacher lets you discus your own opinion and its very laid back, I look forward to going to her class.

Carol is a great teacher! Her personality class is really laid back and she encourages debates and open discussion among her students. She really knows what she's talking about and lets the students form their own opinions on personality. She's really understanding about late papers and abscenses and gives you opportunities to make assignments up.

I took this as an online course, thinking it would be easy enough to take online. The teacher was impossible to reach and gave you parameters that were impossible to study for the tests. She didn't post the syllabus until a week into the class. There was a lack of communication and I wouldn't recommend taking this course online.

Carole was the BEST professor I have had in my 3 semesters at ACC. I loved her teaching style and the way she really cares for her students. This is a VERY easy class although discussion is required. I wish I could have her for all my classes!!
