I would suggest if you are placed with this instructor just drop the class before you even go. She is only ok with certain students, if you have a life as in family, she does not care. This experience was so bad I considered quitting school all together, but instead changed my major to ensure not having her again!!!

If you are thinking about taking Dr. Folks, don't. She designs class so she won't actually have to teach anything. You are basically teaching yourself the material, which is ok if literature is your thing, but terrible if it isn't. On the plus side, it's pretty easy to make a good grade in there.
