I have such mixed feelings on Chris Leupold. His class sucked. The entire semester was spent cramming information into our brains for a test every 3 weeks that literally felt like a cumulative final exam every time, spitting all the information out onto the test, and repeating. Horrible class. But hes a nice guy, and he made sure to show he cared.

honestly people give him a hard time for no reason. He honestly cares about his students and is really flexible when it comes to due dates. Assignments are really easy if you just take the time to do them and the final paper is long, but an easy A. Show him respect, and he'll show it back. He likes to joke around, so dont take if you dont like that

Great guy! He's a little mixed brained but I think he even knows that haha. Offered a lot of insight for me for my first semester! 10/10 would recommend for ELN101.

Dr. Leupold is hands down the man, but he makes you work. We had some lengthy papers and two pretty hard exams, but it is all worth it to have him. Never left class without laughing at one of his stories and will help you outside of class at any hour of the day (was helping me at midnight before an exam). Take his class, he is the man.

I would recommend his class to anybody. Leupold is extremely witty, laid-back, and smart. It was always a class I looked forward to attending. He cares about his students more than his class (in a positive way), which is hard to find in college professors. So glad that I came on here prior to registering, his high remarks could not be more true

Literally my favorite professor I have ever had. A great teacher and an even better person. I learned more in the class that I took with him than in any other class I have ever taken. SO inspirational. Prompted me to want to do better, and to learn more. Hands down favorite professor

LOVED Leupold! Definitely a really down to earth funny guy. Made the class interesting. Tests were fairly easy and never covered anything obscure. He gave out really helpful study guides. Definitely reccommend him. Loved the class.

He is such a cool guy. His class is full of funny stories and he cancels class on random occasions just because he doesn't feel like teaching. He is a little random in lecture but it works for him. His tests are all application and amost no definitions. He grades basically for effort on the projects.

Made a course loaded with dry, boring material actually interesting. Has a unique sense of humor. No attendance policy, which is a plus, but his tests are demanding - don't underestimate them. Very flexible on homework due dates, and no papers as well. Course material itself is challenging though.

I have never enjoyed a class as much as leupolds. Tests are challenging but for the most part it is an exciting/excellent class. Not much hw, just a few papers over the course of the semester. very caring and accomidating. take his class!

He's great and tells hysterical stories. I really enjoyed going to his class. However, he can get pretty unorganized but its cool because you can pretty much change any due date and he doesn't really care when you hand stuff in. His tests are hard but if you study for a few hours you'll be fine.

Yes, class is tough. And yes, he does go off topic. But class is sometimes more like a comedy routine where he keeps you entertained while you are learning the material. Will do absolutely anything to help a student, inside class or out - he's worth the challenge.

Best professor at Elon! Can be really tough, but will go out of his way for extra help. Cares about the well being of his students and listens to students comments and input. Tests are hard and papers can be tedious, but it's all beneficial! you should take him.
