This was an interesting class where the students had the ability to choose topics to learn through lecture and then apply them to a mastery project due near the end of the semester. If you want a deadline and a box to check this isnt the class for you. You get what you want from this class.

Clark Draney has an interesting grading philosophy, whereas most classes are graded by submissions and regular testing, his classes are graded through mastery of your own skills. He trusts your decision for the grade you say you deserve, as long as you are willing to prove it.

Dr. Draney is an amazing professor! He was always so helpful and willing to teach. We had to read Lives on the Boundary, but other than that, there were no assignments for his class. Throughout the semester you will be working on a mastery project and at the end of the semester, you determine the grade you receive. I definitely recommend him!

Comment:

Being taught by Dr. Draney should be a privilege. Having hated English throughout High School, I very much enjoyed Dr. Draney's English class. Stay on top of the readings and tasks and you will do fine. An Excellent teacher, will be taking his 102 class (even though it is not required for my major ;D).

I have actually been enrolled in several of Dr. Draney's classes. He is by far the best teacher I have ever had the pleasure of being taught by. Keep up on the tasks and everything will be fine. Follow the advice he give to you and you will have an A. Great experience!
