Comment:
Lectures the whole semester. Mandatory group work. Attendance isn't mandatory, but taking notes during lectures is where 100% of test answers are going to come from. He taught both undergrad and grad students this semester & complained about undergrads to his grad students. Smart, progressive, decently nice guy, though.

This professors priorities were all over the place. This is a strictly lecture class where he sits and talks and you are sort of unsure if what he is saying hits the topic. As for the assignments, they are not hard but there is just no clear guidance on what exactly he is looking for. this class is Not hard just be prepared for the a bit of chaos

Professor Fox is not very organized in his teaching, but his incredible knowledge of environmental issues makes his classes worth it. Fox is also just a kind, understanding, and good-humored guy. Take very good notes every class, study diligently, post on Blackboard as he assigns, and put effort into the final project if you want an A.

Comment:
Professor Fox made it clear during syllabus week that he primarily teaches graduate students, and that was evident throughout the semester. The few assignments we had, the lack of grades on blackboard, and the lack of email response made it very hard to know how we were doing in the class and showed the lack of respect for students.

Comment:
Professor Fox is an extremely insightful instructor with a pedagogy that is primarily lecture-style and online inquiry & self-learning. Dr. Fox is an absolute pleasure to listen to and has much to contribute to the discussion of science and politics. I highly recommend Dr. Fox to students willing to work hard and engage during class sessions.

Dr. Fox, is awesome. The whole semester you will stay confused about what is going on. Not the best roll model for his students not because he does not know what he talking about, but he is so unorganized & usually late to class. He is very smart and very flexible. He loves what he is doing & genuinly cares about his students sucess.

Hard to get in touch with unless your a grad student. Make friends with Mrs. Mason. Now that i'm in grad school, he is more accessible, and more helpful. I did take 10 unuseful credits in undergrad since I couldn't get in touch with him. That kinda sucked

don't expect much from Dr. Fox. .. he is too busy for everything. the class is 3 hour once a week class. Class usually lasts from 1-1 1/2 hours. The first 2 months he lectures on research and the last half is all class presentations. Expect a 10 page research paper and a 20-30 min presentation.

Dr. Fox is a very interesting professor with a lot to offer. However, his workload or his priorities prevent him from being an asset to his students. Perhaps he isn't found of instructing undergraduats. The capstone project class needs more attention the first half of the semester than he gave.

Haven't had Dr. Fox in a class yet but he's been my advisor. He has screwed up and advised me to take the wrong classes so many times that I've lost a semester. Impossible to get a hold of and has skipped appointments. He's the only envs advisor! I've started begging his secretary to advise me.
